On Love between Fairy and Devil Feb 3, 2022
I just finished reading the translated novel version and y'all, I am super excited for the drama adaptation. I love the character development and the slow burn romance. It was cute, funny but you'll definitely experience a few heartaches. FL is pretty pitiful because of our main lead, but nonetheless, I'm excited for this for whenever it will finally air.

I remember hearing about this drama but never looked into it. I didn't even realize this drama was this novel, so of course I was quite shocked that it was already being adapted. Def was not expecting it to be Esther and Dylan. I'm surprise Dylan has black hair because in the book he has long white/silver hair. Nonetheless, I think Dylan matches black hair better.

Will there be any love triangle here between ML-FL-SML? ಥ_ಥ
No. Things get solved fairly quickly.

Title Fall in Love
I'm already experiencing withdrawals, y'all. That's how much I invested my time and emotions into this drama. I've watched so many cdramas this year but never had the strength to finish them until this one. I actually stayed up to date with the episodes and did my best to watch each episodes M-W. I remember hearing news about this drama but never paid much attention to it until the trailer came out, and man, the drama did not disappoint. If you remove the flaws - editing and same outfits (totally understanding for this time of history), the drama is great in itself. Never once a dull moment. I don't frequent republic dramas but this one is definitely on the list. The pace was very good and steady, and the leads were very smart from start to finish, which is rare for a drama The characters stayed consistent throughout the series, never fell out of character. They all changed for the better, and they acknowledged that they need to change for good. I didn't have second lead syndrome as I always root for the ML. lol XGY may had come off as a little annoying in the middle, but I am glad he chose to change for the better very quickly. The 3 friends were very loyal to each other. It was very nice to see a group of friends that stayed true to each other despite the chaos their parents caused for them. My heart broke for our two favorite characters at the end. I don't want to spoil it, but my heart was so sad for the third couple and for our favorite assistant. :( And I shouldn't forget but oh my gosh, the dialogues in this drama. Most of the time, they were good lines. And the OST was great.

Anyways, onto our main leads. There is no words that I can really used to describe how freakin' hot CXX was as TXL/TSL. He was hot in GMP but he was even more sexier in here. lol He really brought our commander to life. I love how we got to see so many sides to him aside from his façade persona in the earlier episodes. He was a very smart yet cunning man who was always 10 steps ahead all 36 episodes. He was silly when needed and serious when needed. And I must not forget his wardrobe. My goodness, the green and black uniform look so sexy on him and his daddy long legs. lol ZJY did well as MWQ too. I love how she's just as smart as TXL, proactive and very loyal to TXL. She is very understanding and always willing to protect/help TXL even if it may cost her life or affect her family/business. She never jumped to conclusion and was very mature throughout the series/her relationship . Our main leads are meant for each other as they really complemented one another. I absolutely love how unapologetic they are to the bad people too. They really just said, *kill* lol

But all the main leads, and even the side characters, their heads were very screwed in correctly, except for SHC. For a long while he was annoying and immature but that's slightly understanding considering his background and personality. lol They were all willing to sacrifice for what is good, even if they had to go against their family members. It just wouldn't fit their character to do immoral things, for example, XGY. He had to go against his father at the end because he just knew that's not who he is - a person who does immoral/illegal things. This is what I mean when I said the characters never fell out of character, though there were moments of selfishness but it make sense. Not justifying their actions and words but it made sense, and they also quickly made sure to solve that issue too. Shuang was a very good character too. Even though she did harbor feelings for TXL, she never abused her position as his "younger sister," even in the midst of temptation. Respect. But I mostly enjoyed how they all never pushed the blame on to each other, for example, XGY's dad being the cause of MWQ's brother's death. She never blamed him because it wasn't his doing. I just like how they made sure the hate only went towards the person at fault. In TXL/MWQ's case, that was an exception as it was all just an act all in the name of protection.

The ending could have used just an extra five minutes, but I do understand that the whole purpose of the drama was for TXL to regain back what was originally his and to bring justice to his dead family members. The ending made sense, but I lowkey would've loved to see some alone time between our main leads too. lol My heart felt heavy for XGY when his father died as he knew that was going to be the case. There were a lot of emotions involved in the last few episodes, but I am glad we still got a happy ending for everyone.

There's so much more I could say about the drama, but I think this is sufficient. lol But definitely a 9.5-10 out of 10!! Will I re-watch it? Most likely, yes. Do I recommend it? A BIG YES.

I don't know about you guys but I was so happy to see TXL back in his black uniform in today's episodes. While I do miss his green one because he looked hot in it also, the black one is the way to go. Super excited for the last 2 final episodes tomorrow.

Title Fall in Love
I understand that many people did not agree with the break up and TXL's attitude. I didn't think he should have come at her too hard with his harsh words, but it really did help put a play to those around them that they had a fall out. Their "fall out" helped them both get out of certain situations, for example, when Officer Zuo kept suspecting TXL after bring back a woman to trick TXL that it was MWQ. TXL used their "break up" as a reason to let officer Zuo know that they are in no way working together, etc. Anyways, despite the flaws here and there, the drama is doing very well. I'm very excited for the last 4 episodes although I know I'm going to cry for a certain character soon. He definitely deserved so much more and better.

Aside from the drama, good news! There’s rumors of our main lead dating! They’re so cute, so I’m glad to see them together.

Wow 2 drama of my ren jialun and bai lu? Didn't expect them in one drama but I love to see them ❤
Its not really two dramas. It’s a prequel to the first one. Basically a season 1 and 2 that’ll be aired back to back.

To my understanding the two dramas are not related. Loving Never Forgetting was a melodrama adapted from novel…
Thanks for clarifying! Glad it’s a different storyline.

I’m one of those who read the novel, at least the parts that were translated. Because it never got fully translated, I was excited to watch the live version. I watched it when it aired, and honestly, to an extent I am quite disappointed with the drama. It’s probably because of the different approach they took, but I guess the approach they took is also OK...although I don’t exactly favor it. I do like XZL, but i’m also not sure about how I feel about the main leads. I lowkey wish the drama had followed the novel just a bit. But I guess because I haven’t exactly follow up with the drama lately, I should give it a second chance than to allow myself to be continuously disappointed.

Looks like they started filming this drama already. Excited to see it in the upcoming year, hopefully. Since there’s no synopsis available, is this a remake of Jerry Yan’s “Loving, Never forgetting/Unforgettable Love” drama? In that one he was an overbearing CEO and they had a child together. I can’t remember, but I think they had a contract marriage too. Hmm.

the ending in ep 35 was supposed to be happy, but money-hungry MangoTV (the broadcasting station) changed the…
It's not an uncommon thing at all. It sucks for us fans/viewers, but this is still a business afterall. If the drama has high viewership/ratings and generating some money, the TV station or production team will take advantage of it. That's basically how they make money. Not sure how the TV station's contract with the production works like but hopefully the prod. team receive some percentage of that incoming flow for their work and drama.

Timmy dubbed his own voice, the rest of the cast were dubbed by voice actors.
Oh he did? Didn’t sound like him for some reason. I still think it wasn’t done well. Idk, just think something is still off. Thanks for the info.

I'm currently watching this and i am just really not feeling it. I will continue to watch it tho because I want to know how they will go about it. It's just that I don't think I am feeling Timmy Xu's acting. He is so plain in this drama for some reason. Even I think Yang Chao Yue is doing a better job. Maybe it's because her character is more animated than Timmy Xu's. I think it's the voice actor who isn't really doing a good job. The voice doesn't seem to fit in well. The chemistry is there but also not there. It really depends on the scene, tbh. Hopefully it'll get better.

While I would have wanted another Xu Kai and Bai Lu drama, I am glad it won't be this one.
Many people are willing to take risks and have a few cp's paired up more than once for the ratings/views. It's all about that and the money. For example, Thai drama companies take advantage of couple pairings but they know how to promote that to get people hyped. People do get tired of the same pairing after like 5 times, but companies do not care because they are getting the views/ratings/attention/money they want. Usually with CP's pairing up a few times, it is either a hit or a miss. They are striking the iron while it's still hot. A drama with the same pairing could be very well received the first time around (but that's if the storyline does well too). If the storyline is very unappealing the second or third time and the ratings aren't doing well then it's cut there for the CP, even if they had good chemistry. It's like a 40% chance of seeing CP's pairing up again in C-drama land so it's not a big deal for me.

isn't this basically the same as the prequel is this a remake or a sequel ?
Because the first season had a cliffhanger and S2 had a change of main female lead, I’m assuming it’s a mix of both remake and continuation of the story.

If you're wondering to watch the drama or not, feel free to read this. lol

The drama stuck to its origin from beginning to end. The character development was amazing. Despite its lack of romance, I think a lot of the scenes between our main leads were funny and sweet enough to make up for the lost "romantic" scenes we were supposed to get that were unfortunately deleted due to China's censorship. Definitely a great drama with a phenomenal cast + story. The production is really good too. It's kind of a slow start but definitely worth to keep watching. I love how XX stays strong even to the end and did not waver between who she liked. I especially love how GYZ remained strong in his love for XX from beginning to end despite almost giving up a few times because of both SJS and for her safety. The romance and drama is kind of a slow buildup but it's worth it.

Xu Kai as Gu Yan Zhen is freakin' hilarious. He's so funny and cute, HOT with his hairstyle too. You'll get a kick out of his constant winks, flirting and smile. You'll also feel heartbroken with GYZ when Xie Xiang doesn't reciprocate his feelings for her, but it's understandable because he doesn't show it with seriousness until later. His jealousy is on another level. It's so funny. GYZ is so shameless yet confident, not afraid to chase plus show his love and interest towards Xie Xiang. Her constant annoyance towards GYZ's words and actions is funny. He loves to irritate her, but I also like that he knows when he's wrong and apologizes for it. You'll love the main lead's interactions, along with their relationships with the other cast members. There's a lot of good chemistry between the entire cast that is going on here in this drama. It's going to be hard not rooting for Xie Xiang to be with second lead Shen Jun Shan too. He's a nice and a good person despite his "aloof" character. Xie Xiang/Xie Liang Chen is great in her own ways. I love how she's a very independent woman. She is a bada** who doesn't wait on others to fight her battles. She quite a good number of solo-kill moments. She has like no mercy for those that hurts her loved ones. She goes into battles (not literally; more like fights) by herself. She's a strong female character from beginning to end. All the other members are funny and adorable too. Y'all are going to love Qu Ma Ting, the girl that ends up liking GYZ. She's hilarious and a narcissist like GYZ. Although 2 of the other main leads were a bit annoying towards the end, they were still great characters and were of little to no threat to our main leads. lol The main lead's scenes are worthy despite the lack of onscreen time between them. Even though the main lead's tend to have more scenes with the second leads, don't let it take away your enjoyment of the drama.

The military did tame them hardcore. I love how they were all cocky, rich spoiled brats who didn't like each other in the beginning but became really good friends and understood the meaning of protecting each other and their home country at the end. Each character's relationship with each other was gold, ideal too. They supported each other even when they didn't understand why he/she did what they did or why they chose a specific route. Even though I thought GYZ had the most character development, every character grew tremendously by the end of the drama too. This is what I love about this drama the most. Their friendships was raw yet beautiful. Gosh, I'm really going to miss our favorite team. They were such a beautiful and amazing cast. The drama overall made me cry, laugh, smiled, fangirl, and went through a series of emotions. I hope to see them all work together again in the future. It was good. I enjoyed the drama very much. I think they did really well. Goodbye, AMA. It's been a good one.

Also, it's a must watch because Bai Lu really cut her hair for this role. She deserves to be loved and watched. lol And Xu Kai + Bai Lu singed one of the song for the OST. Also, the OST was really good although there were not much songs. All in all, this drama is very cute, funny and interesting. Don't stop but keep going. You'll very much like it.
