I would have to disagree-this was also something that bothered me about the show. I’m not in the medical field but I do know some people who suffer from addiction and I’ve spent some time researching the topic and withdrawal symptoms last up to 2 weeks max generally-in some cases, one might suffer from post acute withdrawal symptoms but it wouldnt be this intense continuous cycle that looney was experiencing. We get it-he’s a junkie but the show’s decision to make that his defining character trait/ personality was a mistake imo.

It’s not about being related. My mom’s friend has a son who’s 9 years old. I’ve been in his life since my senior year of high school(I’m a college senior now)-I’ve watched over him, made him breakfast, lunch, dinner, picked him up from school, put him to sleep, gone out to eat, watch movies etc. You’re telling me that there’s nothing wrong with me dating him 10 years from now? Like my mind could never fathom a romantic relationship with someone I knew when they were a child and I wasn’t-especially if the relationship between us when they were a child was one that caused them to trust and look up to me immensely. I would be taking advantage of that trust and adoration.
And you’re wrong when you said he didnt see or talk to her for 10 years(that was my biggest issue with the relationship)-he was there for every milestone in her life-middle school grad, high school grad etc and we’re meant to infer from this that he was a permanent fixture in this child’s life.

If it were truly as you said-where he met her by chance years later and feelings developed naturally between them, i would have less of an issue with the relationship but he’s been by her side her whole life. He watched her grow up-helped her grow and who’’s to say that the love she has for him isn’t due to this trust that’s been fostered over all these years?

It also doesn’t help that she behaves childlike most of the time and that she’s the only girl he’s ever dated.

This is not a healthy relationship. The male lead is lovely and he loves and trusts her but she doesn’t trust him at all. Even towards the end when you think their relationship has been solidified. It’s crap

I get what you’re saying and I’m not saying that it’s ok for her to do-I’m saying that her livelihood shouldn’t be ruined because of this nor should she receive this much hate from strangers on the internet. This should be something that’s settled in court between the two parties and not something that the public decides without all of the information and ending her career over a private issue.

All of you seem to have completely missed my point which was that this is not an issue that’s any of our business nor is it something that should ruin a person’s entire career. Absolutely none of you know why she decided against keeping the kids. You all pointed out that she $200k to create them but it didn’t occur to you that for someone to change their mind last minute after putting in that kind of money and amount of effort, maybe there are extenuating circumstances that we aren’t aware of. I’m not even a fan of this actress, I saw love o2o like 3 years ago but the reaction to this issue is far too disproportional to the “offense” committed. She didn’t kill, rape, physically or emotionally abuse anyone. She wasn’t racist, homophobic, transphobic etc. she just decided that she didn’t want kids before they were born and removed herself from the situation. All of you are passing moral judgements in my way of thinking so I’m going to do the same to you and add a bit more because you all seem to lack critical thinking skills and are simply reactive. I never said that I agreed with what she did. I said that in the grand scheme of things, what she did isn’t so much worse than what men do everyday and get away with. The only difference is women usually can’t walk away from a pregnancy because they’re the ones growing the babies-this time, it wasn’t her and she decided(for reasons that are none of my business because I am not in her personal life) that she didn’t want or wasn’t able to raise these kids. I’m sure she and her husband discussed this as well and I’m sure adoption was on the table but if he was adamant about raising them despite her objections, it follows that she then just chose to completely remove herself from the situation. “He wants to raise them on his own, he can”. But they stopped being her children for her. Again, I’m not saying I agree nor am I saying that this is what actually happened because we-none of us, not a single one, actually knows what happened. All I’m saying is, she didn’t commit some great crime against humanity that’s got everybody to be so hateful towards her. It’s ridiculous

Again, she doesn’t want the kids. Whether she had planned for the kids before hand, is slightly inconsequential. I understand that she could have gone about this differently but it is ok for people to change their minds about having children even after they’ve gotten pregnant. If the law requires both parents to sign citizenship papers for their children before they can be relocated to their home country, then there is an issue with the laws. A birth certificate with one parent should suffice as there will always be cases like this, with one parent who doesn’t want to be a parent. This is not to excuse her entirely but simply to say that I don’t understand why this is such a big deal, enough to ruin her entire career. This is her personal life, it has nothing to do with her job or her coworkers yet its stopped her past and future shows from airing. It feels like a bit of an overreaction to me.

She didnt abuse them. She just didnt want them and that was before they were even born. Men are allowed to walk away from pregnant girlfriends and wives all the time and we deem that as normal but a woman not being prepared for children and behaving like a man ruins her career and you’ve dubbed her as an “abuser” please

I haven’t heard this but I would honestly prefer wei long in this role. I have heard that if yang yang accepts this role then lu si will face a lot of back flash from his fans and I don’t want that for her. Plus, I want wei long in more roles as his acting improves. He’s come a long way since untouchable lovers and we will not be acknowledging the train wreck that was beautiful reborn flower

I have become wary about modern dramas that have over 30 episodes. Even over 25 is too much. They tend to run out of things to do and the show ends up being ruined by the extra episodes but I’m still hopeful about this drama for Ding Yu Xi.

I came here to see what his next role is and I'm honestly so sad that he doesn't have one. For a relatively novice actor, he's amazing. A lot of dramas cast hot guys and they can't act or their acting isn't anything special or new but Ding Yuxi is a breath of fresh air. Also, can we talk about the chemistry he has with his co-stars cause ?. I hope he gets more main lead roles soon
