I was looking for a fun & relaxing show to watch. Stumbled across this one after ticking a few filter boxes. Currently on episode 7 and the plot on MDL get's something tiny wrong. The female lead is a game beta tester for some nueorlink VR game company. So she doesn't accidentally appear in another world randomly. There is some 'romance' so far, it's building up but I think the FL has trouble with her feelings because she knows the people in this VR world is fake. Unless there is a major twist at the end, like she gets stuck in the world or is actually in a coma and this is just a dream, etc. So far I am enjoying it but not too much comedy and does feel a little slow. I would say it's been more about problem solving and figuring things out within her world/farm life. Not a fan of her family in the show/world but maybe that's their programming and/or because of how slow the story is taking to build up.
Trying to find this show, doesn't matter if raw or subbed: -When I search for 'Mabeopui Seong' I get a Korean movie called 'Sex of Magic (2002)'. -I then found the AKA for this series should be 'Mabumui Sung' instead.
Only managed to find a 10 minute clip via the KBS2 archive channel.
How is this a photoshoot? A used plastic chair, some sheetrock, two LED lights and a humidifier. Throw on lots of make up, turn on the humidifier to make the photos look blurry and stand 40 feet back. If they sent these photos to be edited by an airbrush team afterwards too, they really need to fire the photographer who organized this.
The trailer of the movie reminds me of mid 90's (American) coming of age films. Radio Flyer (1992) & The Cure (1995) are two that came to mind. While this doesn't look like a movie I will personally enjoy, I am curious to watch it based on how it is rated 'G'.
When I joined a telegram channel today, it automatically downloaded the first six episodes for this series. Might as well watch them before deleting them. Didn't read the plot but the title sounds cool. I wonder if it's a wuxia about a secret kung-fu (white cat style).
Same here. This comment section is full of negative reviews on practically every show.
It's because people these days are spoiled. Don't know how to relax and enjoy a show. Imagine being in a third world country, with no air-conditioning or heating, while watching a drama on an old school CRT TV. Maybe you're lucky to have wood or concrete floors and a few chairs. People wouldn't be crying about every tiny thing in dramas and just be happy they're able to watching something that isn't local government propaganda.
Iโm watching this based on a recommendation of dramas with Secondary couples and Iโm in episode 14 and I donโt…
The magical mythical secondary couple unicorn ๐ฆ from three years ago. It's almost like you reverse age in your photo(s). What sorcery is this? But I randomly saw this drama and now am more curious to watch it. ๐ค
I might have a slight biased because I enjoy these themed plots but the movie overall was very adorable & relaxing to watch. 10/10 would recommend, even if I know people might not like it. It's bound to put those types of people into a good mood.
Stumbled across this movie while browsing trending torrents. The torrent though was titled 'FULL RIVER RED' which is a top grossing Chinese movie from 2023. The description of the movie however was this movie. Was a little confusing at first to find this movie as the one I wanted to watch because I love time-loop/time travel plots. Let alone how things like this just fall into your lap, you just need to be aware of them.
If you ever need help with subs, I use Microsofts AI to generate them and they do pretty decent with translations…
Yup no worries. I eventually imported several database models from Japanese Universities which have been focusing on the linguistics within different regions of Japan into my AI code. As I lived in Osaka, it was bothering me how the basic AI code wasn't able to translate the Kansai dialect or even 'samurai' speech. Now though, it's fairly solid other than the timing issues.
Really enjoy Lee So Yeon in her 100+ episode daytime dramas. Can't wait until there is 50+ episodes to binge watch at once. I don't care if the ratings are high or low with these types of dramas because I put myself in the shoes of someone poor in South Korea who might only have bare minimum cable TV and these shows might be the only thing they can watch or have access to. Plus when you binge watch so many of these episodes, you start to dream about them. It's great being thrown into a low budget Korean soap opera in your dreams.
This is a great adaptation of the first two volumes. I'll try my best to create enjoyable subs. The first episode…
If you ever need help with subs, I use Microsofts AI to generate them and they do pretty decent with translations but the timing can be off a bit. I'm too lazy to edit the timing since it's not that bad but have no problem helping create a 'beta' srt file for a show you want to do and work of whatever ai generates.
I can recommend "Fall in Love (2021)" one of my favs in terms of Republic Era dramas
Sweet! Added to my list too. Always enjoy watching shows people recommend to understand how others view things and why. I also try not to read the plot and go into dramas blind for a surprise factor but I'm guessing based on the title and era, it will be a little slow paced? Which is fine, I've randomly found VERY slow paced political 'dynasty' era series and to my surprise became addicted to the historical (facts) layers within the drama(s).
Honestly I only watched 5 episodes. Not because it was bad or anything but because I tend to jump around with dramas. Watching 3-5 episodes at a time and depending on my mood, I'll eventually continue a series like this one. However I did recommend this show to a friend whom enjoys the Baki anime series on Netflix (plus others) and he finished the series saying he enjoyed it. Sorry if you were looking for an update on the romance aspect within the drama as I don't think my opinion would be sufficient just yet. I was worried the drama might turn into a 'Kamen Rider' style show due to the supporting actors (ghost hunters) being introduced and what happens to them.
Thanks! Added it to my watch list. I'm terrible at remebering drama names but two other ones I enjoyed from this era were 'Lost in 1949' & 'Tientsin Mystic'. A few times I've even tried finding the towns where they film these shows, to see how they look on certain Chinese map sites (since google lacks new maps and street view in most rural areas).
Wasn't until I randomly stumbled across the "Legendary Tavern" drama on YouTube. Where I now enjoy watching 'Republic of China' era drama's. Between the scenery, clothing, music and much more. I am curious to see how well this series turns out to be. Looks like the first 4 episodes have been added with english subs.
