Title Painted Skin Spoiler
Probably I’m going to be the only one saying this but I liked him for the Fox. But oh well :(
Hello from five years ago. This movie.

If I can recommend a few which are great and are more serious, Kamen Rider Build, Kamen Rider double and Kamen…
I always respect other users comments & recommendations. So recommend away! Vielen Dank, I will take a look at them.
On OUT - Tsuma-tachi no Hanzai Apr 13, 2024
These past few days I've been re-enjoying these classic JDRAMA's from the 90s and early 00's. For some reason they felt like they were much longer in terms of episodes. Maybe it's because I watched them on VHS tapes with original infomercials and just 'felt' there were more episodes. Anyway, would recommend this for any JDRAMA cult classic fan.

Title Rebooting Spoiler
didn't read the plot or review is best. I never knew where the plot lead me, it turns from funny to hearwarming…
Right on. I am on episode 4 at the moment and enjoying it. I also found another midlife crisis style drama. Otona Joshi (2015). Doesn't have time travel or plot twists but has a similar vibe to it.

Title Ever Night
Am I the only person who finds the first episode of Chinese drama's usually confusing? It's not until I have watched the first 3 or 4 episodes until the first episode starts to make sense. I might even re-watch the first episode after the series is over just to see how many things went over my head originally.
On Ikebukuro West Gate Park Apr 11, 2024
I am almost certain Gokusen was the first asian drama I ever watched growing up and IWGP was either second of third because I know I watched the original Great Teacher Onizuka shortly after. It's been about 15 years since I've seen these og jdrama's and I do recall truly enjoying them but that might of been my 17 year old self hyped up on cans of Mountain Dew and being hypnotized from the glare of a CRT monitor. I am curious to see if I would still enjoy these older series now that I am accustomed to modern kdrama style filming and editing. Will re-watch and confirm.

Side note; this series is based on a manga. Then an anime was produced more recently which I have not watched. But have read the 4 manga volumes of IWGP because I remember seeing Dragon Ash (Japanese 90's era HipHop Group) talk about how they enjoyed the storyline and the manga is a solid quick read. That depicts the lifestyle of 90's street vibes in Tokyo (Ikebukuro).

Title Queen of Tears Spoiler
I was confused because I just saw a drama do this and thought it was this one (I am bad with remembering titles)…
people should keep the petals so they can prove to others that the universe wants them to be together

Title Rebooting Spoiler
No spoiler, just not an important comment. Time travel, check. Wishing you can do your life over, check. Normally don't read the plots but bored today and this drama sounds like a winner.

I find it so romantic the likes me, likes me not with the leaves.
I was confused because I just saw a drama do this and thought it was this one (I am bad with remembering titles) but the one I saw was older. Then remembered it was 'Please Come Back, Mister' where I saw someone do this.
On The Killing Romance Apr 10, 2024
The opening theme song for this mini-drama is pretty good. Only reason why I watched this series was because the website I use had the episodes as 'newly subbed'. It wasn't until now I noticed it was aired in 2023. Overall it's a decent quicky. Ten minute episodes (x18), 180minutes total (3 hours) give or take. If you got three hours to spare and want to be a romantic bum engulfed in a historical but magical Chinese drama. May all your (deadly) festival (killing) wishes come true.

I am using my ai script to make subs for this series after learning about what happened to Lee Eun Joo. My korean ai script isn't as good as my japanese ai script (which is near perfect) but still better than nothing. Send me a PM if you would like a URL to the google drive subtitles.

Person Lee Eun Joo
I just started watching 'Phoenix' and her acting captivated me. Her facial expressions reminds me of an ex-girlfriend I once loved & cherished. I wanted to add more dramas/movies to my playlist which featured her. When I read about her suicide, my stomach immediately turned into knots. Such a shame she felt like she had no one in her personal life should could confine those feelings with.
On Kamen Rider Gotchard Apr 8, 2024
I've lived in Japan and the Kamen Rider IP is HUGE there. Doesn't matter the age, you could be five years old or 80 years old. Japan LOVES their Kamen Rider series. I've always tried to get into the series due to that reason on how respected it is within the Nippon households but as much as I love Japanese culture. Most Kamen Rider shows I just can't get into. However, while this version of the Kamen Rider IP does tend to be a bit more 'childish' (reminds me of the Gundam Build Divers anime) it also feels like an anime/game series mixed into one. This might be the second Kamen Rider series I actually finish.
On Parasyte: The Grey Apr 6, 2024
Usually not a fan of Netflix produced dramas as they tend to attempt to make them more 'Americanized' for a wider audience. Anyone who has watched this series and knows what I am talking about, would you still recommend it?
On Heaven's Soldiers Apr 6, 2024
I did my usual double blind, search for a random keyword (heaven) and pick a random drama from the search results without reading the plot (Heavens Soldiers). I think this is labeled as a movie but it was showcased as a two episode drama for me. Either case it's about 2 hours long total. This was one of the best double blind picks for me. Not knowing it has time travel and North/South Koreans working together just thrilled me to my drama core. This 'movie' felt like a solid 80's or 90's American military comedy film featuring John Candy, Chevy Chase & Bill Murray type actors. I personally enjoyed it and put me in a good mood after watching it. I highly recommend this to anyone who has two hours to kill and is just in the mood for something fun and unique.

The movie had me laughing my ass off, every time the North and South would argue about how the North's Great Leader's family bloodline are basically like superheroes. With all the wild and crazy stories the DPRK tells it's people.

Title Shogun Spoiler
Does anyone know how well this follows the original story? My dad is a fan of the book so was thinking to recommend…
IMO they changed a good amount from the theological aspect via the novels. The author also wrote the series after being imprisoned in a Japanese camp during WW2. The first book he wrote (King Rat) is actually the 4th book within the Shogun series. I also feel the director took out any personal biased the author might of displayed in his books. These two parts aren't really anything major when comparing the drama but it's more like adding red pepper to fried rice. You don't need it, but it can make it taste better.
On Lady Girls Mar 30, 2024
Title Lady Girls
I actually stumbled across this drama while searching for the UK drama 'Land Girls' when I typed 'Lady Girls' into Google instead. I almost ignored the show based on the poster for the series, thinking it was about an older guy who flirts with various women. Boy was I wrong, lol and that's why you should never judge a book by its cover. This is a great show for middle age people because older people will understand the ups/downs the series has to offer. Not suggesting that someone in their teens/20's wont enjoy it but unless you have experienced life for 30+ years. It's hard to relate & understand why the show goes in the direction it does.

The cat is probably the best supporting lead in any drama I've seen.

Title My Father Is Strange Spoiler
is there romance in it
A friend they were with in America. They were at a bar in Los Angeles and a fire broke out with explosions. His friend died in the fire and the father took the friends identity/passport. This allowed the father to start a new life in Korea using his friends identify but nobody knows this other than his wife.

Title My Father Is Strange Spoiler
is there romance in it
Yes, sort of. All of the children within the show have some sort of relationship with a partner going on. I'd maybe describe it more as 'puppy love' rather than romance. IMO the relationship Byun Rae Yeong builds up with her coworker in the show is my favorite. As I don't want to spoil too much, Ahn Joong Hee starts to do romantic things for someone while he's supposed to be this grumpy/spoiled washed up kpop idol. Seeing him break out of his shell and start doing things from the heart, makes you want to cheer him on.
