The VIP hospital suite. I'm pretty sure those don't exist in real life (UPDATE: I know nicer, more private suites…
VIP hospital suites very much exist in Asian countries. Might also exist in other's, I can only vouch for Asia

Title Love Scout
This might be dumb but I'm a little confused - he's her secretary right, so he's her 'biseo' (like the title)…
He wasn't hired as a simple secretary. The role required someone with HR experience and ability to keep up with the CEO, he was hired as a director, who assists the CEO. He isn't really required to help the rest of the team too, that's just him being nosy and a busy body, just like Kang Ji Yun says

Thanks for sharing this. Even with the explanation in the Instagram post, the situation is still messed up. The writers chose to add this scene at all, for that they are still equally responsible. And please know that other Korean speakers on the platform are saying that this scene can also be translated as "rebels" inside Izmael have kidnapped "South Koreans", in which case, yes, the writers are re-writing an entire conflict in the most evil way possible.... Whichever explanation you chose to believe, it does not downplay the foulness of the situation.

no they translated it properly. what they are trying to say is that in the land of Izmail (i refuse to call that…
There is no way the writers didn't know what sort of hell they would unleash with their evil last minute Izmail plotline. They should be held responsible for choosing to add this unnecessary evil chaos to the story. If Netflix has mistranslated, then that should come as even less of a surprise, Netflix is seriously pro-Izmail. Either ways, this is just unforgivable.

Oh right. You mentioned Morocco because of Argan oil. I thought there's some history lesson for me to learn. Thanks for clarifying.

There are unfortunately a lot of privileged people out there who are deliberately choosing to live under rocks. They claim "they don't watch any news", they are "prioritizing their own well being and mental health" etc. etc. etc.... Lethargy is starting to sink-in and people have become numb to the situation. So in my opinion, this does bring awareness. Of course, I'm very unhappy with the writer's choice, and agree with you that they have marred an otherwise near perfect drama. The story arc served no purpose whatsoever. I honestly still can't believe the writers were this dumb, were they paid by a lobby to do this. What is their deal T_T

Is there some rebel situation in Morocco which parallels Argan? This isn't a troll comment, I'm genuinely curious.

Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
Can someone explain what deal was made between the FL's step-father and the ML's grandfather in the past? Did…
Yes, it was explained in a previous episode. FL's step-father agreed to hush the car accident in exchange for being able to call any favors from the ML's grandfather's family. ML's grandfather convinced FL's stepfather by saying that the real Sa Eon is dead.

Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
SaOn better not be pretending that he knows Hui Ju is the kidnapper. We need more angst please before the reveal…
I don't think Hui Ju was in on the kidnapping. My theory is that she was genuinely kidnapped. She stole the kidnapper's phone when he he passed out and probably ditched his body by the road. The kidnapper's purpose was to cause a distraction at a critical time in Sa Eon's job. Hui Ju is now using the kidnapper's phone to get out of the marriage because she has misconceptions that Sa Eon doesn't love her. I expect all these misunderstandings will be resolved half way though. And then the real kidnapper will recover to cause trouble again in the second half. Something like that.

I’ve been refreshing my Netflix, when is ep 2 gonna come out?
Same. It should be out already. Darn it, this drama is too addictive, this is going to be a problem.

I hope this drama doesn't lose steam, because at this point it's shaping up to be one of the best of the year.
They are following the adaption of the original C-Drama (Go Ahead) quite closely, and the plot for that remains solid throughout!

I had to pause the scene with the conversation with Mr. Pyo as it seemed to be cryptic and sideways, not direct.…
Yep, this is it, exactly. Maybe some of the nuance is lost in translation. Perhaps that's why the international crowd struggled with this episode. I thought it was a good one. It isn't all black and white with every character. It was very humanistic.... I can understand how this sort of storytelling might not appeal everyone. I'm all for it.

I think its going too fast it has 16 ep
Yeah, I'm concerned about this too, maybe there will be another time rewind or something. 16 episodes makes no sense at current pace.

I was annoyed by how unrealistic it is that the family became destitute overnight, my theory on this is that the mansion is in Granpa's name, that's why they have been kicked out of the house. But they should still have access to their individual back accounts, so it's still a bit of a stretch for them to not have anywhere to go, unless they want to lie low, they have chosen to escape the media circus and scrutiny by going where noone would expect to find them. The writers should have given a bit more explaination about how these events came to fall. Maybe next week's episode will fill these missing gaps.

I remember when I watched this as it aired. pretty good. Sibling relationships look so natural. The acting is…
100% agree with you. The main lead is a very decent person, perhaps too good to be true.. What hooked me to the drama was the family dynamics. This show had the realest sibling relationship, with their non-stop bickering, teasing each other and being savage.
