I only watch her daily update on chinese dramaland videos but not her reviews. She is not a good reviewer because instead of giving actual "insights" on dramas she discusses what has already been said under a weibo hotsearch tag. But to each to their own I guess.

Grandmasters slash at the last episode reminded me of another female grandmaster from blood of youth cdrama who did the same just because she was upset 😭 and she did a lot more damage too than this grandmaster did.

I think season 2 lays out the ground work for the next season. So it's better to watch it.

It's different perspectives. People won't suddenly think the emperor is a good guy now just cause he helped fan xian but, he did helped fan xian! As a viewer, that is what stood out to me.

I have mixed feelings towards this one character. Sometimes I feel rage over his overbearing demeanor while sometimes I feel nothing. He is nowhere near my favorite characters of jol list. But still, I can't deny there are moments where I, as a viewer, felt like he does have a soft spot for fan xian. 🤷

I still liked your comment because even though I view the emperor just as same as you do. I did not view this help as "selfish". After all it would be too out of character for him if he selflessly helped fan xian.

On episode 32 wuzhu has a fight scene with shadow (si gujian's brother)

Even though it's not the primary focus, the drama is still wuxia genre and i enjoy watching wuxia's action scenes more than other genres. Just a personal preference.

The series already made emperor seem like a not so bad after all guy in season 1 already so I'm not surprised.

One thing about wuzhu I want to mention is- I always thought he was a robot but I guess he is another "secret thing" made by the devine temple. And could ye qing mei be the reason of wuzhu refusing devine temple's orders? I mean he is a robot like thingy after all just like si gujian.... So why is he going against them? Maybe she rearranged his codes or whatever you say, that's why some of his memories are missing. Just a theory.

wuzhu vs shadow fighting made me reinstate my faith in this season. One of the things I like about this show, since it's first season 1, was it's martial arts scenes. But this season fighting looked really bad. Did they forgot to re-cast the action director from the first season as well?

There were a few good moments between fan xian and shadow/si gujian's brother fighting scenes but it was still underwhelming compared to season 1.

Don't understand people who complain about jol being a "male centric drama" did y'all watched season 1 with eyes closed 🤣

Two death in one episode. LORD!! At this point I am starting to think it was the emperor who was doing the smuggling with beiqi and second prince was just following his order. I can not understand why emperor doesn't let that btch (second prince) get investigated. Is he hiding something?

Can fan xian bring out his mother's gun and just end this father and son duo I am so tired of them.
