So what has changed with their situation? They are still both powerful Generals and the issue with balance of…
The emperor probably realized that while the 2 are powerful, they are also loyal to the crown.?
He already had a soft corner for their love anyway (and probably felt accomplished since he helped them to be together in his POV). He probably felt impressed by the fact that they'd rather be single and help the crown than force the other to sacrifice.
What was that stupid strategy by the emperor in the end ? Why did he send her to a place where there was no war?…
Your guess is right. The best way to reprimand Chu and his selfishness is by reminding how his actions got Yan killed and left his family alone. The impact is greater when you know the fallen personally.
While Chu wasn't personally a friend of Yan's, he knows that HY valued Yan's friendship and cared for his family deeply. Getting her friend killed was the wake up call he needed from delusion sadly ๐ซ
It could have been worse - they could have left their relationship as it was in the novel - where the brother…
Helllll no! I'd rather ship him with the frenemy any day. At least in the drama, he sees a side of the frenemy that others don't since he's known her most of his life. The novel version sounds too creepy.
(1) Brother confesses BEFORE he finds out sheโs an evil brat who has been bullying and scheming against his…
IKR? I liked how in ep 18 at first he said that he would support both his sister and the frenemy but he couldn't even stick to that the moment dhe pouted ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Feedback seems a bit mixed. If I skip the bro and sfl, will it be more enjoyable?
After ep 10, you can skip them as their side story isn't really relevant to the MC fortunately.
The MC meet the mean girl again in ep 18 since there is a competition (basically it's like an indirect repetition of the 1st timeline events only the mean girl seems to be more honest this time/ not trying to sabotage the FL).
Why is every side character in this show the most annoying MF ever!!! We finally took a break from the ex friend…
Guess it's because you can't completely rewrite history? Ngl it is kind of creative how the events of timeline 1 repeated even if Lin J didn't do it to help the frenemy this time directly.
Personally I enjoyed it. I haven't read the novel nor really had any expectations in advance though. The MC is really good and their fight scenes together are electric๐ฅ
Seeing the SML frequently probably was the only thing I didn't care for but after watching ep 34-36, I begrudgingly admit that it made more sense why he had so much screentime in retrospect. The final plot point's reason wouldn't have had as much impact if they didn't show his pov. There was also 1 last unnecessary death of a support character but then again it really isn't a c-costume drama unless someone you like dies right?
Not really. Just cautious and easily influenced. He's a grey character- a mix of yin and yan if you will๐
He is easily influenced but not with just anything unlike some drama emperors.
The emperor's weakness is power so he is cautious when it comes to power. Chu may have initially caused the generals' wedding ban but knowing the ๐, even if Chu didn't remind him, he would have still tried to pause the wedding once it hits him that 2 of his powerful Generals were getting married.Chu just speed up the process with his reminder.
On the other hand, when dealing with HY or Xu's treason, he was patient enough to listen to all sides despite all the lies thrown at him.
Everyone saying the Romance makes up for the story! In my opinion, it does not! They are outcome of forced proximity…
Is it really forced proximity though?
From XJ's side, he's always loved HY's spirit (even when they were kids, he was always secretly helping HY out and loved "his" resilience). As for HY, she'd always admired him too. Their love wasn't really rushed but grew overtime.
Thanks for the clarification :)
I mean Yan's daughter looked at least a few months old in the scrib scene before the wedding announcement scene.
Probably about 1 year in total may be?
The frenemy looked suspicious but it could just be that she's just pleased that they got an opening to beat GXJ's team? Afterall old habits die hard.

Shame that it didn't hit him sooner though.

Will they have an express pass for this?๐ค
Getting 6 episodes of LOTFG at once has made me greedy for this too now๐
