What are they gaining from dragging out the episodes? Now it’s gotten boring. Just drop everything at once fgs!
Think today's the day - express is out apparently!

I do admit after the initial shock, the FL could have softened abit. It's understandable whyvshe got mad since she kept ssking him if she did/ said anything and even knowing that she was from the future, he didn't really keep her in the loop of his grand plan to oust B&C.

I meN him not telling her about his plan with B&C because he couldn't explain the future events is understandable but since he knew how worried she was about the project and she would have understood "the future" reason, it can feel disappointing.

It's good that they will be clearing everything today.

Agreed! I understand the readers' expectations since it is expected but for someone with no prior knowledge, I agree it's too harsh at times.

But hey- we can't please everybody eh? Even I've dropped some popular dramas🙈

Ep 20 preview explains it. Still the ML doesn't really deserve such a huge reaction 🙈
He knew her since they were kids/ was always in the picture so to speak.

It's just that once the FL went back in time, she stopped hanging out with the frenemy. The FL chose not to waste time trying to reform the frenemy since it's not her duty to play baby sitter. She's lived through a lifetime of sabotage and trauma thanks in partially to the frenemy.

The brother on the otherhand has no idea how far the frenemy can go because before the FL came back, the frenemy didn't really have to work hard to sabotage her. In his pov, the frenemy is competitive/ her mum is controlling. The camping scene was his breaking point but he still wanted to believe in her 😅

I agree that he shouldn't have been lenient with her just because he knew that the mum was the root cause but then again she was his first love for a reaaaally long time so as annoying as it is, it kiiiind of makes sense (specially given his personality).

I can only imagine what the non-reader commentors would have said if the writers gave her immense physical strength 😅😅😅

I haven't watched the trailer TBH so I'll take your word. I guess it depends on what people want? Although some comments seem too harsh for a drama that clearly has the romance tag😅

If the people of Jiang found out what he did to their favourite heroic "Miss He" and the Xiao Army, his life wouldn't be easy.

People are saying the romance is lacking in this drama . Anyone have any historical drama recomendation with lots…
Personally i adored TPOB and enjoyed this too. Honestly it depends on your tastes. The general theme of the drama is "reclaiming what was once rightfully yours" (as well as all the points other commentorsYulli said above).

I would say the main difference between the 2 when it comes to romance is that unlike TPOB, the romance here is more subtle?

You have enemies to lovers theme here since the ML is under the impression that his father's army was betrayed by one of their most trusted generals (i.e. the FL's true identity) and his main objective throughout the drama is to reclaim his Army and dead father's honour while punishing the crooked general. The FL on the other hand had her "identity" stolen and so her main objective is to reclaim her lost life (in secret).

Their love story is a bit like Mulan? You have romance but it's not heavy since they are always either training, doing covert operations together, or fighting wars. It's all in their guestures and expressions. Their love language is mainly "acts of service" and "words of expression".

There isn't alot of PDA but they did have quite a few kises towards the end. There's alot of hugging and a few close promity hilarious scenes involved too. The good thing is that the ML figures out her gender in secret (not her identity though) by ep 4, so their moments start pretty early on.

The main annoying thing about the drama is that the delusional SML did get a lot of screentime but it's not really worth dropping the drama over.

Perhaps try the first 5 episodes if you have time?

In GXJ's case she later admits the main reason why she was avoiding him was because he reminded her of her old self. Yes, it's still not a good excuse to continue to push him away after getting over the initial shock.

Looks like they won't drag it doe too long though 🤞
On Legend of the Female General Aug 21, 2025
Seeing a lot of complaints that He Yan was too soft for a female general makes me wonder if it really is that bad for somebody to show a soft side while still being brave and professional?

Should a female sacrifice her feminity/ soft side completely to be a general? Isn't this basically supporting father He's cruel behaviour?

HY only becomes a "kitten" when she's with people she trusts. With others, she's always calm and professional- basically just a more extroverted version of XJ.

With XJ, sure it's not appropriate to be playful with your supervisor but after making a complete fool of herself the first time, there was no point in pretending to be anything else since she knew he would call her out for it.

She was badass during most of her fight scenes and used her agility and strategic thinking as her strength. They also acknowledged her feminine features by calling her a "pretty boy" several times which isn't really that unusual either. So is her characterization really that bad? Should she have been masculine looking, stoic, and ready for war every second of her life?🙈

Why does the idiot brother like that girl so much again?
He's fixated on how she was like when they were kids (and before the mother could corrupt her so badly).

He wants to believe that there's still goodness in her if she tries. Seems like the drama might be going for that angle too now.

(Ngl they really shouldn't have included the thunderstorm fiasco if this was their end game).

In a way exiling him is a punishment worse than death.

He lost all his honour so his family will likely go back to their old ways (even worse since he dared to act mighty in front of them). His mother will likely loose her place in the ancestor's chamber as a result (sad for the mum but it would be like living death to Chu).

Losing HY's care and knowing that she will hate him forever is likely to drive him even more crazy- specially since he can never see her again even.

Since the maid is also dead, he is truly alone like he'd always feared.

He'll probably be sent to some baren place as a slave too (not sure how exiling works exactly). So there's that too.🙈

The other dude coincidentally shows up again as soon as they have fight. Such a lame cliché.
It is a cliche but it still mirrors the first timeline (even if the year is different).😅

I mean the day the elevator crashed, Lin J sabotaged GXJ in a way that would benefit the frenemy. On the same day, her ex came back to her office to beg her to take him back.

In the new timeline, at one point Lin J sabotaged GXJ project again and if he was successful, indirectly the frenemy would have benefited (even if she is innocent this time). So the Ex popping up now kind of makes sense.

If you want to go even deeper, on the day of the elavator crash, GXJ accused Lin Z for betraying her. This matches with ep 19's events 😅

We'll see. Honestly we shouldn't really bother about the final ending since it's a c-drama. They might not really go into detail about the coma even for all we know.

This is a time travel drama do I don’t they are going to go back
The problem is that this is a C-drama. Since their first timeline bodies are still alive, they can't go for the "oh no i'm dead-this must be a dream" timetravel ban loophole.
