I hope the SML doesn't stay the second fiddle. Steve Noh is too good to just play that. I hope for him to get…
I feel like he'll play a bigger role than just the self sacrificing heartbroken 2nd lead. As a popular prime minister, he has enough power to protect both the Hui Ju and I An from any real danger thrown at them by the monarcy- assuming their constitution is similar to the real orld. He is technically one of the most powerful chess pieces in the drama.
Personally I hope they keep their love triangle honourable like in AOS, with the crown prince.
have a question and I may be way off base, but were the Grand Prince and the king's mother an item at some point?…
I recall when they released the character descriptions a month or so ahead of the drama release, there were quite a lot of X posts mentionning how the queen used to have a crush on him.
It highlights the hypocrisy behind the crown. They refuse to change with the times so this will be what will cause…
Exactly! It will be interesting to see how things pan out. They have a golden chance right now since we don't really this kind of plot much as far as I know.

I'm not sure if they will abolish the monarchy completely BUT they might add reforms- afterall even the introduction implued that the royal family no longer holds the same level of authority as they had back during Josen times.
The Queen Mother needa to open her eyes before it's too late. We know she loves her son but she barely showed it so far (except during the fire and likely we will see in ep 5 once she finds out about the car accident). She needs to fix her relationship with her son before she "fixes" the crown using archaic methods.
Do you know how did Goong end? I recall they changed the rules thsir too but can't really remember what exactly was done.
The most unnerving part of this show which is quite frankly frustrating is the fact that itās set in the modern…

Even right now, the only royal who is popular is I An and itās mostly because they see him like akpop idol. The queenās fears in a way are justifiable but because she is stuck in her outdated ways (like her father said), her plots keep backfiring on her.
She's nothing but a pawn. Since I-An is looking into her family, it's more likely he will use her to get rid of…
The quill cuts deeper than the sword. Assuming the puppet suiterās fatherās news network is the one controlling the general media, cutting their ties with the queen can only make things easier for Ian. Hopefully they will wrap up the story within one episode š¤
Guys......I saw the next week trailer and at last minute....beside Grand prince that lady was walking (the lady…
She's nothing but a pawn. Since I-An is looking into her family, it's more likely he will use her to get rid of one of the queen's allies once he dig up enough dirt on them.
So, please help me out. WHY is he pushing Kanata away?
NGL the episode was a bit rushed. While I donāt like dragged separations and reunions, we didnāt get to āmarinateā enough to TRULY feel Akiraās conflicting feelings. Even with Kanata, we didnāt see enough but I guess we will get more on it in the next episode.
The choice of Kandaās actor is interesting since it almost feels like they purposely made the age gap stand…
I was referring to the artistic choice. They could have made Kanda San a university student but the fact that they made him a mature salary man, amplifies their age gap more. Iām not saying it randomly - you can see how uncomfortable Akira was when any of his peers (even the girl) met Kanda San. They all considered him as an adult.
It doesnāt negate the fact that Akira did find their time truly helpful (perhaps even life saving). I just find the character choice interesting. Besides kanda San is not great. He didnāt have to have a physical relationship with his unrequited loveās brother.
Illegal? Did the production break some unwritten law? Or were they committing a crime in the epilogue? (Kidnapping?…
Haha itās just an expression :) I find it highly illegal that they decided to make us wait for 24hrs to find out what happens after the main story at the end of ep 3 (even if itās predictable)
So, please help me out. WHY is he pushing Kanata away?
My take was that Akira felt that Kanata liked the version of him that was more or less ācreatedā by Kandaās influence. After Kanata temporarily recoiled after listening to Akiraās story, Akiraās self loathing kind of intensified? He was already trying so hard to only show his good side to Kanata from the beginning but now that his secret is out, he just feels even less worthy of Kanataās love?
Kinda cliche but it makes sense for Akiraās character (specially after his past experience). He probably also doesnāt want to lose Kanata as a person in his life - heās willing to be just a friend.
The drama was wrapped up before the eng subs version was released. I recall seeing several commenters mention that they watched the raw episodes and loved it.
I rewatched the second half of episode 5 to prepare for watching episode 6.The acting of both leads is remarkably…
The choice of Kandaās actor is interesting since it almost feels like they purposely made the age gap stand out. Until it was confirmed that Akiraās brother was a Uni student, I thought the gap was around 10 years (since in most recent dramas, 21-26 year olds in jdramas donāt look that mature even in a suit).
Personally I hope they keep their love triangle honourable like in AOS, with the crown prince.
I used to love webtoons but now it's so easy to predict what will happen once you read the first 10 chapters.

Just wing it š

He just can't scare off his contract wife even before marrying her.
