Title Perfect Crown Spoiler
I am wondering about that flashback scene on the King’s wedding day. What was Prince Yi A talking about and…
It's most likely the fact Li An probably sensed that the king will be in an impossible situation if he married the Queen Mother. You can see how the FIL practically raised his hackles so easily the moment he saw Li An but was sacarine sweet towards the king just minutes before.

Given how things turned out, Li An was right. The king couldn't handle the crown and the queen couldn't care less abput him. The FIL now is trying to manipulate the young king while trying find ways to sabotage LA.

He could have let her know how he felt long before now. I don’t feel sorry for him even though he is a hottie…
Hottie bear 🤭

So true! It's just funny because most SML's aren't expected to publicly approve his love rival but right now he's in an impossible situation.

The church scene was too much 🤣

For a person with my mindset I dislike this type of endings. Because they could have so many possibilities. He…
So is this like "Strangers Again"? Reunite after a long separation-have a lot of drama and tension between eachother- try to be together for abit- part ways again?

Honestly her character is quite intriguing. If handled properly, the writer has an opportunity to do a great redemption/ character development arc with her.

True. I felt the same with the SIL too. We are currently looking at things through Hui Ju’s hurt bias eyes. She’s still trapped in the past. Her family may have wronged her and in a way she is right - as the more capable sibling, naturally she should have a chance to prove herself. That being said, while her father could have done better, at least he isn’t actively trying to “destroy” her.

I didn’t understand why Huiju’s arranged fiancé rejected her right away. Was he actually a good person? I…
Most likely he was a good guy but he understood that HJ’s priorities didn’t mesh with his. If you think about it deeper, if any other girl had made the same proposal to Li An, he wouldn’t have entertained her the way he does with HJ.

As a person with no emotional ties to her, it was easier for the blind date guy to walk out without getting too hurt (hopefully).

I love IU, and I love Byeon Woo Seok, but I can kinda see where this is going. The first two episodes were pretty,…
I feel like with the royal family, it's mostly a matter of ego and pride as well as the benefits that come with the title.

If Li An ends up getting the throne, the queen mother's lineage will effectively lose it's entitlement. To add to it, old families tend to get trapped in their ways. For instance, a real life example would be divorce. There's nothing shameful about it but you still have ultra traditional families that would rather have their children be tortured and murdered by the spouse's family than letting them get a divorce. Same with honor killing even now.

She's honestly foolish to make an enemy out of Li An since he would have made a good ally.

I have lots of random thoughts on this one. Like queen mother always being dressed in full Joseon attire even…
The queen mother's attire is probably a reminder of her goal. She comes from a lineage of 4 queens. With that kind of pressure, wearing the hanbok even during her private time alludes to the idea that she's traditional and is the embodiment of royalty? Specially with the older generation.

Or perhaps it's their way of showing how even in the present, Lee An's royal family is stuck in the past ways of life seeing as even his father and brother were dressed in josen styled king's wear if I remember correctly

Seeing as fire is a trigger factor here, I am betting either the little King or better yet Hui Ju will be trapped…
Perhaps saying it out loud might cmbe just the right anti-jinx we need?🙈

That's true. There is an over reliance on the cast's popularity over the script itself. You'd think they'd learn after what happened with LMH's 🌏drama but nope...if anything, it's gotten worse🙈

Not fond of the 2 main leads but I like Gong Seungyeon. Is it worth watching for her and the rest of the supporting…
It feels like her role will be quite prominent and she will most likely be the main antagonist. I’m not familiar with her previous work but she’s doing a great job so far. The side characters are great too. So far majority of the scenes are focused on IU’s character’s POV but it will probably gradually shift as the episodes progress since they’ve established the key characters’ foundation now as well as the story behind her proposal.

Kdramas (romance at least) are basically cliche fests now. Even dramas that promise to be different during the promo season like “Our Universe” and “Dynamite Kiss” relegate back to the same old worn out script. At the very least they need to execute the clichés in a promising manner - but nope. They give up mid season and just fill in the rest of the episodes with a 1,000 cliches.

So far this year I think I only enjoyed “In Your Radient Seasons” - many cliches again but at least they executed them quite well IMO. Thriller Kdramas are more interesting now even if there is barely any romance (no comment on horror/ action since I haven’t really had a chance to try anything recent).

The king and queen of tragedy in a drama together... what could possibly go wrong? 💀
Seeing as fire is a trigger factor here, I am betting either the little King or better yet Hui Ju will be trapped in a blazing fire and poor Li An will be forced to face one of his worst fears to be the savior. He will save the King/ HJ but will get “trapped” inside….presumed beyond saving before the episode ends in a cliff hanger.

He will appear again in the following episode after a dramatic pause which will probably include Hui Ju fearing the worst/ his enemies celebrating/ the queen torn between relief and misery since it’s obvious she low key has a thing for him.

What do you think? After all, as the King and Queen of Death they do need to maintain their “reputation” 🤭

Beautiful!!! Now i need to watch other stuff while impatiently waiting for next week's airing! Maybe a repeat…
WLGYT is worth watching if you are into “life” dramas (I’m blanking out on the exact term atm!). It depicts life’s joyful moments as well as heart wrenching moments really well IMO.

Knowing Hui Ju's personality and Li An's so far, the best way to make Hui Ju truly want something is to not make it easy to win. She puts her heart and soul into things she's into...and our Grand Prince happens to want to marry for love...so...?
