Time Travel is banned since it gives viewers delusional ideas/ implies that history can be rewritten. To protect viewers, writers have to take thr appropriate steps to meet censorship guidelines. That's why most TT C-dramas go for the "This a dream" loophole.

The Coma thrope is a common loophole used to prevent China from banning the drama.

Best thing is to just not bother too much about the "final" ending they give since the writers too try their best to figure out a middle ground usually 🥲

(Personally if i don't like the edited ending, I usually just read the novel ending in order to get some closure )

The drama is pretty heavy on "new beginnings/ things change" after all🤔

-Timetravel drama with the most feared "coma" loophole while bringing back one of the original 💀 characters back to life. Will it end with a happy end seeing as Gao is supposed to be part of the third couple? No idea 🙈

-FL declares that she hates the old him...literally making it impossible for him to confess the truth until he knows for sure she will not hate him

-Bringing back the questionable SFL when they already gave her a pretty good farewell in ep 10

-SML chooses to move on only to be reeled in again

NGL the screenwriter seems to love challenges🙈

It's still interesting but I'm really curious to know how it will end🙈

What I like about SOOY is that the MC can be goofy but they are mature at the same time🤭

Lin doesn't really play around with his intentions unlike some Leads who either get too clingy after a second chance or pretend to be too "cold". Even GXJ, she makes use of her future experiences alot to benefit her. She doesn't take her second chance for granted.

Honestly they should have wrapped up her arc in ep 10. It would have been a good way to end things for her character. Bringing her back adds no value at all.

Ah I see. I was wondering why the rule works at times while other times it doesn't reall apply. For instance woth Blossom and Princess Royal, it's kind of hilarious that just declaring they were in a "dream" was enough to bypass censorship rules since it's so obvious that it's time travel.

Torally recommend Prisoner of Beauty if you are into Enemies to Lovers thrope. It was so worth the watch since the main characters were well written.

The timeslip confusion can't be helped unfortunately- China's censorship makes it impossible for screenwriters to get as creative as they want. We just need to be as understanding as possible since it's the "confusion" that allowed us to at least get this much.

TMAI- it's so exhausting waiting for episodes. At least with C-dramas you can at least try other website but this is just too difficult.😅

I know what you mean. It's so difficult to rate Cdramas on MDL because they usually have a good start but no matter how amazing the drama is, most tend to flail after the couple gets together (specially dramas that have 10+ episodes left to complete after they get together).
