You tend to forget that kdramas too don't have to always have a happy white picket fence ending- that actions have concequences too and sometimes the ending can just be the final karmic outcome 🙈

She seemed to be aware of the existence of grim reapers so she too probably met one a while back? It does raise an interesting question though- Will Heewan see grim reapers too? 🤔

It's open ended. They didn't exactly get together nor did they breakup forever. Since Dongju went on his break to clear his mind, I guess the future of their relationship too will be a point for him to think about further.

There was no love triangle- both loved only each other. The FL's temporary marriage was not out of love and she was pretty much forced into it.

It's upto Dongju to decide the future of their relationship (the FL will not force/ manipulate him to take her back).

Thanks for this review - it's an interesting perspective to look at given the main complaint in most of the xomments i read was that the FL was too naive and the drama was too cliché and unrealistic.

There was a chance Dongju would have walked away from Daesan and the family after his break but now there is no room for it. He'll come back to avenge TY as well as protect Eunnam since she too isn't really safe 🙊

I keep seeing comments on this but i personally took it as they were eachother's "emotional support crutches" but the way they handled grief was too different for them to continue being friends?

It doesn't really make sense why they'd date eachother so soon when the FL rejected him before the ML's death and the SML knew about the ML's feelings too 🙈

Hey so is this the inner monologue everybody is referring to? There is only 1 version of the drama but the issue is with the subs?

So this must be why characters freeze when they see the white truck of doom....🫠

I know this drama is going to leave me in a sobbing mess by the end of ep 6....but gosh is it so addictive.🥲 The nostalgia, innocence, hopelessness, and KRU's contagious smile is just too good to resist🙈

Haha yes! The cast really did put in a lot of effort in their roles. For the life of me i can't decode if i hate or like Ildo for instance 🥲🤣😅

With the FL, I find her selfish for stringing DJ along when she knew he was planning her wedding (huh🤣🙈) but i mostly pity her.

Exactly....besides isn't the source material from a GL webtoon? You can't have GL without....lesbians (even if it is implied only) 🙃

Honestly I applaud the team in a way. Kdramas are notorious for watering down LGBTQ dramas in order to avoid prejudice and bad ratings, but Friendly Rivalry really pushed boundaries (at least as at ep 12 since I'm still catching up)- specially considering the fact that the main cast is well known too👏👏👏

Bromance but the webtoon it's based on is a BL

I'm not a fan of makjang usually but something about the drama still has managed to hold my interest.

The ML is interesting (though he lives a tortured life) and one of the main villains -Ildo- is interesting. The other main villain personally gives me caricature vibes similar to the villains you find in cartoons (dangerous but kind of humorous in a way i can't quite explain).

The romance was strong in the first episode but kind of dwindles by the latter half but it's understandable since Romance was never the main objective of the drama. The FL's character is a bit polarizing since some like her and some don't. The actress keeps her character alive though so she isn't annoying if you try to understand her intentions (she's not a gold digger despite what some might say).

Gosh tell me about it! I no longer even remember why I added some dramas into my "plan to watch" list 🤣🤣🤣

Guess we just need to wait for the right time🤫
