Also it looks like the father isn't the one in control anyway. Wonder why the mum is soooo blatantly against her own son. I understand why the uncles and aunts would be mean. The dad sucks too but you can see that he's a coward. But the mum is pretty much treating poor GU like he has the plague 🥲

*1 episode for GU's possesion

*1-2 episodes to get rid of the deity and the evil shaman

*1 episode to figure out how to break GU bad luck curse

*1 episode worth of tragedy for our fairy godess

*1 episode for the MC to be with eachother and the whole gang planning for theit future (since it's a high school oriented drama, they probably will add some fluff but it would be fun to see them as grown ups too at least for a few minutes)

(He isn't dead but possessed by a powerful evil deity which can eventually kill him)

The grandmother was rich but she used all her savings to protect Gyeon U. Dad's not going to come near GU since he probably fears that he might bring financial misfortune if he helped Gyeon U directly.

In the ML's case, i think it's mostly because the evil Shaman has had control over him since he was a kid- it's deeply rooted trauma you just can't shake off at once. She's also his sole contact to reach his family so he isn't ready to burn that bridge (even if his familish is foolish/ shitty).

Finally i guess, until Seong Ah proved that the evil shaman didn't have any plans to help him, he did trust her- she's 👿 but blunt and he doesn't want to believe that his family would try to hurt him by selecting somebody untrustworthy all this time.

About the politeness, I think it's just part of their culture. Recently I had a real life experience of it. I was in the wrong, but my Japanese contact was so polite and kept apologising for troubling me (eventhough technically he was my client) 🙈

I love the fact that even Jiho acknowledges it. That it's the FL's opinion that matters the most and that he can't force her to pick him as a love interest simply because he came first. But still he knows that he has the right to remind her not to forget about their friendship just because of a crush. He doesn't sell himself short.

Think it's mostly because her "worlds" don't really collide? Her schoolmates are from a generation that don't really care about Shamans. The ML is the only exception since he has no choice. So it's not that nobody recognizes her, they just don't expect it/ won't really look at her hard enough.

(ML for instance is always too distracted/ mad at her when she's a sharman to really LOOK at her face/ listen to what she says for instance)

I mean while they didn't really use a label to define their relationship at the end of the series, Sejin and Mire will definitely get together (if they haven't already like it was implied by her text to Miji).

Their love is very subtle so unlike with Miji & Hosu where they clearly asked eachother out and defined their connection, Mire & Sejin just "know" where they stand (sorry can't think of a better way to say it).

While usually this kind of ambiguity/ lack of communication is bad, for Sejin & Mire it works (at least for now). They'll definitely declare their love verbally eventually but for the time being until Mire is more comfortable with the change, they will silently acknowledge eachother- speak from their eyes and actions instead 🙈

Besides, Sejin has already made it EXTREMELY obvious that he likes her so if Mire wasn't interested, she would definitely squash those feelings long before he left to the US🤭

I tried to watch ep 1 last night but it felt a bit "off" from what I expected from a C-bl. Just wanted to know if it gets better🙈
