I still don't get it, how ml is okay to call him dad an even want to be in good terms with him !? is not he's…
Dongju always wanted to have a real relationship with his father so this might be what's causing the conflict of interest?
Professor Seo "dad" pretty much gave him abandonment issues too. He hates Ildo but can't help craving for his fatherly warmth, specially since he knows that Ildo didn't know that DJ was his son. Dongju also knows first hand how well Ildo treats his son (TY). DJ also always wanted to make his dad proud, and in a way since Ildo knows too well about his accomplishments, this need gets fulfilled now (I wonder if Ildo had a chance to tell DJ how proud he was though🤔) ?
Seeing Ildo's pathetic devastated state after finding out the truth, perhaps deep down even DJ thought that may be somewhere in the long long run (30+ years) they might eventually be able to reconcile even if it sounds wrong? Ildo's sudden death also means that Dongju is officially an orphan with absolutely no family (specially seeing as even Eunnam's future with him is looking pretty grim too).
To sum up, he's dealing with too many crisises/ complicated feelings at the same time so he doesn't really know how to deal with Ildo's passing. 🙈
Since Dongju naturally is an affectionate person who easily forgives by nature, this too might complicate things further since he is in a truly vulnerable position at the moment.
I'm starting to watch that drama because of all those TikTok vids and that whole step siblings stuff with the…
Haha now that you mentioned it....that episode does feel a lot like "Luke, I am your Father" minus the fact that even Korean Darth Vadar here wasn't aware of it either 🙈🥲
The FL's revenge plot honestly got hijacked. It would have been nice to at least know how she was planning to use the power she got from the shares to get her revenge before she returned the share back.
In my experience I watched the drama from day 1 itself with little expectation. Like literally the reason why…
That I agree - tastes can change :)
There's time so you can try it again when you feel like it rather than forcing yourself😊
I used to dislike makjang until quite recently but I'm really enjoying Buried Hearts despite all the melodrama and crazy twists. Same with World of the Married. A few years ago I would have dropped these kind of dramas after ep 4 or so but guess I've changed 😅
To be very honest, it depends on your choice of genre. I have seen most of the negative reviews coming from people…
Exactly! Lovely Runner and the character relationships are like an onion. The more deeper you "peel", the more emotional you get - whether it's romance, family, bromance, or simply friendship🥲
Some are predicting that Eunnam might be already pregnant with Dongju's child. By that logic, should she abort the fetus in that case? It would be immoral to have your step brother's child afterall right and force the kid into a lifetime of trauma? (I personally don't know if this is true since I've lost track of the number of months it has been since ep 1's events).
*** Under normal circumstances it would be unethical but their case is special. Ildo and E's mum have already ruined their childhood and youth. Even E's marriage could have been avoided if none of this 💩 happened. It's unfair to force them to separate just because a bunch of murderers decided to let some old goat manipulate them- specially since Dongju was never treated like family anyway.
By the looks of it, Eunnam's mum anyway was planning to divorce Ildo in order to protect her son's legacy so is their relationship really worth judging? Specially since at this point, it's not even clear if E and D will get back together eventhough they still love eachother.
It been glorified since "my fault" movie came out . It was sick. Only here for park hyung sik .Also what people…
Eunnam doesn't go by "Huh". She still goes by her father's name so she probably isn't adopted into Ildo's family registry officially. He's just her reluctant family by marriage.
As for Dongju, I don't think Ildo had time to add DJ to his family registry (but you never know since he must have known that he'd be targetted once he switched sides).
Idk if we can compare My Fault with Eunname/DJ's relationship since unlike in My Fault, they were in a long term relationship long before they found out the truth. Even Eunnam's divorce went through before they found out the truth. Since even Ildo didn't know about it, all this was a genuine misunderstanding so you can't really judge them if they eventually get back together.
TBF Eunnam never accepted Ildo as her step father. Till his dying day she called him president Huh. She loathed him and still cannot forgive him.
Sharing a half brother is an icky situation but considering how messed up that family already is, it isn't the craziest thing to happen. Besides Eunnam and Dongju already have gone too far in their relationship before they found out about their link to judge them now.
Legally, Dongju is not in Ildo's family registry so does it even count in S.Korea? Unless Ildo created a last minute will, Dongju is just a castaway.
More than the step sibling thing, the bigger question is will Eunnam be able to get past the fact that Dongju's dad murdered her father and even worse, Dongju pities him enough to probably carry out Ildo's last wish😅
Kim sae ron suicide is tragic. But the relation between KSH and KSR are blown up like hell which is totally irrelevant.…
Making her sound like an obsessed stalker while she was alive and even after she died sounds like a pretty good reason to hate him IMO. He manipulated his fans 🤷♀️
(I am referring to the statements his agency posted to address their situation both last year and earlier this year- there were many ways to deny the relationship but they chose the one way that would sic his fans against her).
To be very honest, it depends on your choice of genre. I have seen most of the negative reviews coming from people…
Geez...OP needs to relax 🙈🤣
Idol-zoned is one way of describing Sunjae's pain 🥲 If anything, all the time travelling proved that Sol wasn't a regular stan- she liked Eclipse but treasured Sunjae mainly because he gave her a reason to live 🙃
writing kinda crazy bc after 14 eps of dongju absolutely hating ildo and him trying to kill dongju repeatedly,…
In Ildo's case, I guess DJ hates him but pities him at the same time?
One of Dongju's unresolved traumas is that throughout his life he never got to have a proper father-son relationship. The father he thought was his (the professor) also never paid attention on him either.
I guess there is some kind of comfort knowing that if Ildo did know that Dongju was his son, his life wouldn't have been as bad as it was? No matter what, Ildo has been a good dad to TY after all. And after he found out the truth, you can see that despite everything, he was proud of Dongju too.
It doesn't discount Ildo's misdeeds, but it kind of acts as some sort of comfort in a way? That's my take anyway🙈
Really liked the drama. It became one of my favorites. But I don’t think Taesang’s character was really necessary,…
In my opinion, Tae Sung embodied the fact that "people can change" and "there is no such thing as a bad good deed" ?
In the original timeline, while we do not know what happened to him in 2023, what we do know is that he was labelled as a trouble maker and ended up as yet another mediocre forgotten dropout. In reality though he was somebody with so much potential but was held back because of his family issues. Just having one person (Sol in this case) give him the attention he needed, made a huge difference.
His story isn't really relevant to Soljae other than being their final saviour but it does act as a good reminder that if you do a good deed, the goodness can eventually come back to you which was the original timeline's theme with SolJae in Sol's pov as well.
I have a phobia of overhyped dramas..Let's pray a game; For people who liked it list of reasons why I should face…
In my experience I watched the drama from day 1 itself with little expectation. Like literally the reason why I started the drama was because I was bored on a Monday. Despite the fact that I liked the cast, the plot summary wasn't enticing enough for me so it wasn't a show on my watch list before it was released.
However, between KHY's performance in ep 1 and BWS's twist in ep 2, I was sold. The plot summary that detered me at the beginning too turned out to be a red herring because it was soooo much more than what was in the summary.
I guess it depends on the viewer? I wouldn't say you must try it but honestly if you have time, I'd encourage you to try the first 2-4 episodes to see if it's your type?
If it helps, it's been a year now but LR STILL keeps getting nominated to prestigious awards along side more recent popular dramas. Even today it got nominated for 5 Baeksang awards.
Exactly, Be Won why are you opening the door to the 'hide out' so carelessly. No peep hole, not door camera, not…
Haha even i was wondering why they didn't even have the basic door cam🙈
In Ildo's case at least, they were expecting the chairman and the way Dongju asked him to open the door, it could have been misinterpretted that the chairman called Dongju on the mobile to open the door. But BW was too careless🙈
Professor Seo "dad" pretty much gave him abandonment issues too. He hates Ildo but can't help craving for his fatherly warmth, specially since he knows that Ildo didn't know that DJ was his son. Dongju also knows first hand how well Ildo treats his son (TY).

Wasn't the intention since like you said, you were making a neutral observation.
