Honestly they did a brilliant job since they even had HL's success fighting against them. I mean even i wasn't super keen to even try the series at first because i liked the OG cast too much and I know a few who refuse to try because they find the change too alienating. I just love how they made something unique while still respecting both HL and the novel/ manwha ❤️

I agree that making him a security guard there wasn't a smart solution if he had a criminal record. A fake identity at least would have made more sense like you said. Or they could have just made him a rando loitering around the building if they truly had to have him there.
About her friend, didn't Qiao and HO call Sang Yan after they realized her closet was empty too? Seeing as he was wearing the same blue outfit he was wearing when he was with Yi Fan at the airport, he must have been notified within the same day right?
