Agreed. Even the step siblings / ex's reason for being selfish is justifyable to a point if you look at their…
The thing though is that in the end both JH and DH admitted that they were selfish in their own way.
I guess knowing how extra fans can get, the writers could have phrased it a bit better but honestly considering we are talking about an arguement between 2 brothers, calling the other selfish is a very common thing for siblings to do.😅😅😅
lol, what's "acting gay"? I actually enjoy that K-dramas show normal gay people, not "gay performers". In real…
He isn't smiling- it's just that he finds DH's accusations thrown at him so rediculous, he choses to mock/ annoy DH with his taunting smiles.
The ex is just hurt and frustrated that DH keeps hiding.
Being gay in SK is complicated, so as somebody who seems to be comfortable with himself, I guess the Ex is just frustrated that DH goes out of his waay to hide his secret (hiding is fine but DH's actions are extreme to the point that it keeps affecting others).
In the ex's pov: 1. DH abandoned him
2. DH chose to marry his friend and drag her into his mess
3. DH is blindly accusing the ex for stalking and damaging his property and refuses to listen to him (even with the issue with the reporter- DH immediately accused the ex that he spoke to the reporter when in reality, the ex got rid of the reporter)
But we do know that while the ex is disappointed about DH, he still cares about him at least abit. He could have spoken to the reporter but without hesitation he refused. Talking to JH was a terrible move but if the ex is aware of how much JH cares about DH, JH would be a good target to taunt DH without truly hurting DH since JH would never take advantage of DH's secret.
Also i didn't like the way Ji Han acted when he found out his brother was gay and that it was a fake marriage…
Tbf Ji Han apologized for overreacting later. It was just too much to take at that point. More than hiding the fact that AJ knew bout the secret, Ji Han was hurt that AJ didn't have faith in him to resolve the issue with Dh directly. (Remember he asked for time to talk to his brother but when he saw AJ with DH, he misunderstoon the scene assuming that AJ didn't believe in him enough to wait).
you’re so right! He knew from a young age they didn’t like or accept him yet he chose to stick around so if…
What if this is the grandfather's way of protecting DH since he feels guilty aabout the mother's death and he thinks that being a gay cheobol can put DH in a dangerous position?
No matter how underhanded he has been with DH's secret, bottom line is, the grandfather wants to protect DH by giving him power (through the group) and respect (through CEO's connection). Perhaps he is afraid that history will repeat itself if DH comes out? Since he failed to protect his daughter, this is his second chance?
He only accepted AJ after he found out DH only trusts her. So it's not surprising that he would at least try to compromise with DH as long as he can hide DH's "gay" status🙊
Not alone. I have so many theories I want to dig into and came to the comment section to see if anyone was thinking…
Your theory makes sense. The father was definitely flustered when the daughter brought up the case.
The grandfather's obsession with DH also makes more sense if you look at it from the angle you mentioned. No matter how underhanded he has been with DH's secret, bottom line is, the grandfather wants to protect DH by giving him power (through the group) and respect (through CEO's connection). Perhaps he is afraid that history will repeat itself if DH comes out? Since he failed to protect his daughter, this is his second chance?
you’re so right! He knew from a young age they didn’t like or accept him yet he chose to stick around so if…
True...either way the grand father is suspicious. Why isn't he even trying to stop JH since JH's confession is effectively a bad mark on LJ Group.
Would love to know why the grandfather is obsessed about DH to the point where HE is willing to sacrifice the company. He easily wrote off all theother grandchildren, so what's different about DH?
you’re so right! He knew from a young age they didn’t like or accept him yet he chose to stick around so if…
JH himself admitted that he was being greedy so I won't disagree with you. But I still find it odd how the grandfather picked the exact hall to get hold of DH at the end of ep 10.
It's possible the Grandfather guilt tripped JH into doing it. JH was already trying to find a way to protect DH, so it wouldn't be that difficult to influence JH into taking all the blame
Ikr? Where is the hate coming from? They pretty much cleared and explained the main issues at hand in ep 10 in…
Seriously!? Even I was soooo surprised by the number of haters🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
I personally loved how they handled the brothers' conflict and how AJ found peace in her decision without really hurting DH in the end. Even CEO Yoo was brilliant 🙊
As much as i dislike the sister, even the way how she handled the mother's case with the grandfather wasn't that bad. She gave him a chance to explain (and she definitely has the right to know).
you’re so right! He knew from a young age they didn’t like or accept him yet he chose to stick around so if…
It's possible the grandfather forced JH to take the blame. For whatever reason the grandfather was a t the hall and he practically yelled at DH for constantly trying to derail his life by exposing his secret.
I can't go past episode 2.The FL's reaction to the offer is ridiculous. She's go no money and barely any jobs…
The FL's reaction to the contract is honestly smart tbh. Yes the money is great, but money isn't everything. She has to sacrifice alot/ lie to her family. Also since it is with her best friend, she has to ensure the contract will not ruin their friendship. The contract also can have an impact on her future acting career
3 years is a long time and she's only human. So it's actually good that she hesitated before accepting the contract.
I just finished the recent episode and ahhh…sigh Dohan was getting on my nerves this episode mostly because…
Seeing as coming out as gay is an extremely sensitive topic, I don't think JH resents his brother for not telling him about it. But he did make it clear that he was tired of his brother stone walling him every time.
That's why everytime JH argues with him or shames him he makes it clear that it's not because he is gay. He may be hurt but he loves his brother enough to understand why he kept quiet.
As for the ex, his purpose is quite clear tbh. In the flashbacks, DH abandoned him when he was beaten up. The ex just wants DH to stop being a coward and accept himself wholely. To stop the acting. He doesn't seem to be the actual stalker that's been harrasing DH but the way he taunts DH makes his character seem off.
There seems to be a high probability that the grandfather set it up to stop DH from coming out 5 years ago. There's this scene where the ex mentions mockingly that the idea of DH taking a step is him being a coward (sorry i can't remember what exactly he said) but it hints that the ex knew that DH was planning to come out at the time. So there's probably resentment there too since DH wasn't there for him when he needed his support.
I still really enjoy the show and am so hyped for next weeks eps, but based on these reactions I'm seeing I feel…
Ikr? Where is the hate coming from? They pretty much cleared and explained the main issues at hand in ep 10 in a logical way so why are they still attacking DH and JH?
LDH is so on my nerves. Selfish, bottom line. Whatever your lifestyle is, live your truth and make no apology…
The mother wasn't granted a divorce. I guess she really couldn't bare to stay at home any longer so she chose a life of obscurity.
Since the price of being a chaebol is you have no privacy, she probably had to hide her whole identity to protect her new family and old family (and also avoid getting dragged back to her old home)
Given how netizens and the press were reacting over AJ and JH, imagine how much more brutal they would have been to the mother who "abandoned her young children and family for a random man"? We don't know why the mother was so desperate (ngl the husband is a piece of work though so not surprised she left him) but bottom line is, she had no choice but to be secretive in order to taste freedom.
I feel like the grandfather may have hired the reporter to find his daughter but things went out of control. Considering how patient the reporter is, it's odd that he would have caused such a frantic car chase. The grandfather is protecting the driver for some reason so most likely the driver was the Son in Law?🤷♀️
I guess knowing how extra fans can get, the writers could have phrased it a bit better but honestly considering we are talking about an arguement between 2 brothers, calling the other selfish is a very common thing for siblings to do.😅😅😅

The series needs to be watched with an objective mindset, then it isn't as complicated as some comments make it out to be 🙊

The timing is just too coincidental 🙊🙊🙊

The SFL seems reasonable enough that she might actually help them from the sidelines as always.
3 years is a long time and she's only human. So it's actually good that she hesitated before accepting the contract.
Or the fact that you can like the SML or the ML without hating the other 🤷♀️

I dropped My Demon so the thought of watching it twice over WI sounds like torture to me
