Personally, the only good thing that came out from the ex’s nonsense was how WSB’s patience was tested? Not once did he even hint at the ex that JYJ and he were a couple at present. He focused on the past and made it sound like he was still interested in her without betraying JYJ’s trust in him.

Even in the car, I found their conversation rather mature. He told her how he felt about their current predicament, but instead of blaming her for not being firm with the guy about their relationship status, he simply apologized in advance for any uncontrollable childish behavior that might come up from his end at times.

It’s mostly because her relationship with WSB is currently a secret and there is no privacy in the set (example with the bridge scene). So unless they were truly alone she couldn’t really bring it up. And let’s face it? Would you trust your secret relationship with THAT guy?

The ex should have just accepted IT when she kept refusing his suggestions or at least toned down once it was clear she was uncomfortable with his behaviour…but no, the poor baby let his ego get the best of him. At one point it was mostly about antagonizing WSB than actually rekindling his relationship with JYJ 🤦‍♀️

True - even I am not a fan of love triangles specially in Kdramas since there’s hardly anything new added. It’s the same old boring recipe 😅

Hell even with today’s episode, I was more interested in how Ha Na and WSB teamed up for a change instead of the actual love triangle.

I’d say the only good thing with today’s rivalry was the fact that no matter how jealous WSB was, he didn’t break JYJ’s trust by telling the Ex that they were dating and instead allowed JYJ to decide if she wanted to. I respect the fact that he didn’t pressure her given that their relationship was a secret. Instead he had a frank talk with her about how he felt and just asked her to understand his questionable behavior. If WSB spoke to the Ex before JYJ did, it would have made their relationship look fragile.

The Ex is not a baby to stop only when JYJ spells out firmly that she’s not interested. He should have accepted it when she first asked him to behave like a professional/ accept her initial refusals to join his shenanigans.

If anything, it’s the guy’s fault for being brazen when it was obvious she was uncomfortable with his behaviour. He claims to know her very well but blatantly ignored all her excuses. She was friendly at first but you can see the more time she spends with him, she keeps giving signals that she isn’t interested. The selfie, the lunch chairs issue, and the dodgeball game are a few examples.

WSB was firm only after she clearly told the guy off by firmly telling him he has no chance with her since he refused to listed to her previously. They wanted to keep their relationship a secret so while she wasn’t hardcore pushing him a way, her actions pretty much made it clear that she was uncomfortable with the Ex’s increasing pushy behaviour.

NGL it was low key fun to watch how OHN and WSB bonded throughout the episode thanks to their mutual hatred.

I meant in Shine on Me 🙈 The ML in it also has to face a similar dilemma as JYJ. His cousin was the only person aware of his situation since he was the unfortunate matchmaker - hence “guilt ridden”.🙈

TBF she did try her best while trying to be professional. She’s already on thin ice with the crew since they think she has special privileges as the great director Ian’s First Love/ hand selected co director. She needs to balance everything. If she pushes him away too hard in public, a new rumour could spread, causing more issues - specially considering the fact that the Ex is a favourite amongst the crew.

I do agree with that. I found it rather unfair putting so much weight on him for being absent instead of his emotional involvement behind the accident considering the fact that he never promised JYJ that he will be there. WSB was crystal clear that he had no intention.

I guess his guilt of the whole "what if" of it all from his POV? What if he was able to stand up to his father? The accident could have been avoided if he had been there with her. Since it was obvious to JYJ how he felt after the whole truth was out, I guess she didn't want to hurt him further? Specially seeing as it was affecting their project and their future as well? The past cannot be changed no matter what after all.

Yes, JYJ's accident in a way is similar to the one in Shine on Me. I guess the difference here is that everything was already extremely emotionally charged in Dream To You compared to SOM even before the accident and they were immature kids at the time without knowing all the details?
I mean technically, if you didn't know about the DV abuse and emotional blackmail WSB went through, objectively speaking, what WSB did to reject her was a shitty move even if the accident didn't happen. The accident essentially escalated an already sensitive issue.
With SOM on the other hand, before th ML found out about the deceit, it just looked like he was abandoned for unexplained reasons. He was also a mature but emotionally stable adult by then so eventhough he was wronged, he was able to process it better (specially since unlike with JYJ, he didn't have anybody else to reinforce his personal thoughts since nobody else knew what happened except for his guilt ridden cousin). I van only imagine how bad his "revenge" would have been if it was someone else 🙈🙈🙈🥲

You might be on to something- it seems odd why Ji Hwan would try to sabotage the engagement in the exact same elevator when he could be more creative. Either Minhwan or her annoying cousin must have rigged it.

Most likely! Even if he wasn't the one to pull the proverbial trigger, Minhwas was definitely involved in his brother's death.
