Not really. As long as you know what "Nanno" stands for and the general vibe of the series, it should…
Nano is the main character of the story - some call her karma personified…and others call her a devil. Either way, her role in the story is to punish all wrong doers in schools-students/ teachers/ parents. Anybody that’s deemed “evil”.
Season 3’s version of Nanno is a different girl since the first Nanno kind of got compromised after S 2. Too much exposure to humanity kind of made her vulnerable. The new Nanno is more like a vigilante. There’s still supernatural elements to the new character but her ways of punishment so far haven’t been as psychedelic as Nanno from S1 and S2.
If you do not want to watch S1 and S2, perhaps you can ask your preferred AI tool to summarize the 2 seasons? I find that an effective shortcut to catch up usually.
i was wanting to watch this for becky and offroad. do i need to watch the original first to understand this one?
Not really. As long as you know what "Nanno" stands for and the general vibe of the series, it should be enough.
That being said, Nanno 2.0 is quite different from Nanno 1.0 from the previous seasons since I feel the psychological impact / general story of S1 and S2 had higher stakes. It's too early to tell with S3.
Ep 2, twist was brilliant though- something I'd totally look forward to IRL.
There is a tiktok and it hypes grandma being with COO chiilin then taking a selfie with ML maybe poaching him…
Ngl I detested her character in QOT and found her character in Tempest so irritating that I honestly expected her to be evil or at least behave like an evil chaebol mum. It's so heartwarming to see how loving she is even to all her grandkids' love interests. Her relationship with Ha Dam's boyfriend is just precious 🥹
At least based on what I have seen in Kdrama land, they tend to have the funeral pretty quickly - sometimes even…
The odds of his father being the reason behind their tragedy seems a bit of a stretch- specially given how he doesn't seem to have that same sense of guilt Chan has whenever he enjoys Ha Ran's company. Then again this is a kdrama so....🙈🙈🙈
The fact that he was bleeding is definitely odd. He seems to be feeling truly grateful and it's clear they treat him really well too.
Haha wasn't there a comment last week saying the COO might be the son of the truck driver. Looks like it might…
At least based on what I have seen in Kdrama land, they tend to have the funeral pretty quickly - sometimes even the hospital has its own section to host the wake. Mr. Yeong wasn’t there during the original flashback of the accident right?
Ep 1 expections : a typical Wuxia with hidden identities/ probably with a bit of enemies to lovers trope.
Ep 15ish expections : It’s nice how we have separate couples having their own story instead of having a typical delusional/ irrational/ manic OBSESSIVE SML/ the main female characters are so well written for a fictional drama
Ep 19 Expectations : Dammmmn….turns out only the SML (and Mr Sun for now) has a rational mindset while the other leading Males are just pure chaos/ how did the drama get so hardcore suddenly???🤯
The boyfriend cheated on Ha Ran. Chan was only supposed to talk to her once or twice just to make her think that…
Honestly it would make sense that the boyfriend died during the explosion. The way Chan ran towards the lab after seeing Ha Ran's message (that she was in Boston) could explain it.
It's also possible we are missing one final puzzle piece. Feeling guilt over technically helping a cheater feels too tame for Kdrama standards.Guess we will find out soon 🙈
just watched ep 5... i m a bit confused abt the flashbacks of the blast and the boston scenes. was the boyfriend…
The boyfriend cheated on Ha Ran. Chan was only supposed to talk to her once or twice just to make her think that the boyfriend was busy but unintentionally Chan found a kindred spirit through her since he too was depressed at the time.
By an odd coincidence I guess the boyfriend died around the same time of the explosion. The other possibility is that the boyfriend was inside the lab when the explosion happened but it seems strange how his sister found out about his accident so quickly. Guess we will find out eventually?
Chan’s guilt - he initially forgot about the “cheating” fact. Seeing how badly Ha Ran was affected by his “death” even after years, he felt bad because she was mourning over a “great love” when in reality it was a sordid tale.
For what it is worth, IMHO best romance dramas so far in 2026 are:1. Love Story in the 1970's: SML is a suitor…
Ahh ok! So YRS isn’t too cliche for a Kdrama (yet) (or at least the cliche bits are executed quite well for the most part). The best part is that there is no SML- I’d totally judge the writer if they dare to introduce one later as it would make no sense.
Since the story follows the Song family (3 sisters and their grandmother), we get to see different “shades” of romance, family love, and healing.

I know how you feel! I’ve had the same issue this year as well. Kromcoms have been pretty disappointing/ unmemorable lately. I actually put Our Universe on hold after ep 2 to binge it later but the whole SML related comments/ reels, I lost interest. No idea about Positively Yours but I did like the Webtoon. Was planning to try it later.
You are currently watching “Your Radiant Seasons” right? So far this drama feels promising and characters are so likable. I feel like K-thriller dramas are more interesting lately since writers aren’t trapped by the “cliché curse”.🙈 “Can This Love be Translated” is also pretty good if you like unconventional romances with a like “crazy” element to it. The locations are gorgeous.
Pursuit of Jade - haha yes, best binge it later. The wait is rather annoying and they’ll soon begin the 1ep per day release schedule 🙈

Since majority of your favourite dramas this year seem to be C-dramas, you should try “Pursuit of Jade” if you have time. It’s a Wuxia. The main female characters are written really well - really bad ass and self sufficient . As of episode 17, the SML isn’t annoying either as he is prioritizing his patriotic duty over his one sided crush. He cares for her wellbeing but respects her connection with the ML and doesn’t meddle.
If the reason why you are comparing Our Universe with Positively Yours is due to the premise of co-parenting/ babies, while not the same, the FL and ML pretty much raise her 6-7 year old sister together like their own kid.
As a SEA, can you please help understand how that remark is viewed as racism?
They could have easily edited it out then before launching the episode if he really meant it in a racist way (pretty sure quality control is done before releasing episodes)

I hope they don't traumatize us 🙈

(Not a novel reader so don't know if what you mentioned is true)
