Thinking back, the QM does have a tendency to get volatile when she is nervous so I guess it doesn’t really match how she acted through out the wedding scenes. She may have just guessed that the P,M was bound to blow up soon like you said.

Perfect Crown definitely was worth the wait! I was almost worried that they might not be able to live up to the hype but they’ve done a great job so far (specially given how MEH most recent Kromcoms have been lately)🤞

IKR?!BWS has the perfect proportions for royalty. He has that “vibe” - The nation’s Prince.🤭 I just hope they don’t end up giving him a near-date scene too (he seems to love them a lot). IU too managed to make HJ’s narcissistic personality really likable. Normally I’d find that kind of character annoying but something about her is just so endearing you can’t help wanting to root for her❤️

From what I have noticed, Huiju doesn’t recognize acts of love. It took her nearly dying twice to finally take I An’s feelings seriously. So she probably wouldn’t be able to recognize the PM’s concern as romantic love and not just friendly concern.

She’s smart but not when it comes to emotions. It’s just that she’s not used to it. Or alternatively, she chooses to be blind about it because for better or worse, until recently, the PM was her only friend (excluding secretary Do).

There’s also the fact that the Queen Mother asked her head lady in waiting to ensure there aren’t any clues {can’t recall the exact term used] left before the investigation begins. It was an interesting point to focus on. Is it because she suspects that her father was involved in the poisoning? Or was she involved in some way? Or did she have her own plan ready on standby to derail the wedding that couldn’t be used because of the poisoning incident? She did seem so smug when she spoke to the PM earlier that day afterall - as if she knew something would happen? Or was she simply being cautious just to be safe since she doesn’t want I An to find anything that could backfire on her🤔

Then there’s also the spy situation- why didn’t they let us know what happened between the PM and the spy?? It’s so infuriating since the writer knows how to tease us 🙈🙈🙈

Someone on X meantioned that they may be symbolic. As a child she had a nervous tick where she'd pick on fingers/ nails when she was frustrated. The press ons are a reminder that eventhough on the outside, she seems brave and glamorous, behind it, she still has not outgrown her insecurities. I feel that Choi's situation might not be that unusual since it's a bit of a common practice to abandon unwanted /unaffordable children near public places. If it was during Joseon times, Choi would have been an Eunach probably. The PM definitely wouldn't hurt HJ and his reaction during the poisoning scene felt so raw. As for the leak...idk. compared to potential death, it doesn't feel as harmful but is still effective enough to end the marriage so it would be a good opportunity for the PM. Specially considering the fact that he didn't warn the royal couple's team as soon as he saw the article?

It can be emotional at times but the ending was worth it.
There are more dramas out there but this one is the most memorable to me in the recent past. It's targetted at mature audience though (few 🔞 scenes).

True! Even the fact that the royal edict somehow reached I An without getting destroyed is suspicious. Could it be possible the former king was conscious enough to handover the edict to I An right before he succumbed to his injuries….or the FIL murdered him to proctect his daughter and the crown? 🙈

The contract marriage is the main theme right? I mean that’s what they had been promoting since last year. The palace drama is secondary. The contract marriage is key to winning both objectives (HJ’s wish to have a title and I An’s wish to break his shackles). From Hiuju’s side we are seeing the classing flaw behind contract marriage romances. She didn’t like him before the contract and even had trust issues during the initial contract period, but now by ep 9, she will accept her feelings.

TMAI. On the bright side, the more hate PC gets, the more successful it is (just like how it was back when LR was airing). It’s rather pathetic really.

Besides dramas do pay homage to actors’ past roles at times too with little teases and it can be fun. The most recent one I recall is all the character homages that were done in KLT. It was like we were sharing an inside joke with the characters🙈
