Buildup to and the divorce. I didn’t know if that was a spoiler.
Things begin to get more intense from ep 24 onwards. Based on the previews, looks like this will continue till ep 28 or 29
Ep 14 till around ep 23, you have a combination of emotional moments as well as hilarious moments but nothing too serious since Yan refuses to buckle down despite losing everything she worked for. It's rather impressive to see her fight for herself and conquer obstacles.
Buildup to and the divorce. I didn’t know if that was a spoiler.
He's basically a textbook AH in denial in ep 13-15ish or so but as soon as he finds out she's looking for a divorce lawyer, you can see that he's affected despite his bravado.
Until he truly realizes that she never loved his money and titles, he'll try to win her over with what he believed was true. So not exactly evil...rather he is just ignorant?
Since he's not used to being rejected, he has no idea how to win over Yan. So he comes up with the most rediculous schemes (this is where the audience is divided as some find the comedy refreshing after all the angst whilst others find it awkward and out of character)🙈
His words are harsh but I personally think he doesn't really mean most of the things he says. For instance, in ep 18 or so he made fun of her article about Jam's significance to a home during an arguement, but the fact that he could quote it over a year later suggests that he's lying now and he was sincere when he said in ep 1 that he loved her article on it.
Who is more beautiful?Qiao yan or qiao lin.For me its qiao lin.
It's Xu Yan not Qiao Yan 🤫
Personally I think their beauty shines into different ways. Yan has this classical sophisticated look (even in the latest episodes) whereas Lin has a more youthful glow about her.
Gosh that sucks. When did they use the map in question?🙈
Hopefully they can just either cut that scene or blur the map. It really is a careless move. They could have just zoomed into the map so nothing contraversial can come up.
The sister was delulu for HM long before the sister died 😅. Makes you wonder why did they exactly break up…
It’s in ep 12.
Small edit - I totally get what you mean by missing things - i kind of misremembered certain bits of the episode - they did show the girl’s face in the first montage but if you don’t focus, she low key looks like Lei since she’s wearing a cap.

Yes - it was implied in the scene where they introduced the Investor siblings if I’m not mistaken-Lei made a hangover drink? Around this time they show a montage of HM during his London years with a young woman whose face was mostly hidden (the audience’s assumption is that it’s Lei). Later in the same episode, Lei reminisces the past about how she knew HM best and we get to see the same scene from earlier, only this time the camera zooms on a third person who wasn’t in the first montage -it’s Lei.
Seee this is the issue - he doesn’t have anybody to bro with unless they are on his payroll/ psychotic about…
Totally agree with this- they are finally seeing each other’s true selves - unmasked. Before ep 13, they barely knew each other.
Did you watch ep 24 yet? One thing I loved about today’s episode is how during the delivery scene, Yan made it extremely clear that she wanted to be independent for herself and HM in turn finally LISTENED to her. Even his reason for being there on his own felt quite nice (he could have boasted that he should be the one to personally help her but instead lied that his team was unavailable).
Me too. I felt happy for him. But in one of the previews, he seems to be still stalking QL and YYM and his facial…
The fact that HM orchestrated his transfer doesn’t help their case either🙈
The insane timing could be due to many reasons honestly - perhaps he too was contacted by the rival (hopefully not), HM may have contacted him to indirectly help Yan without her noticing (my bet is on this), or they could seriously have been just lucky or something else I’m missing🙈
is Lu Si lips injected in this show? they dont look normal here
It’s the lip tint choice. It’s different from what we are used to/ the other characters in the show so your focus tends to go there at times (at least that’s my case).
Seee this is the issue - he doesn’t have anybody to bro with unless they are on his payroll/ psychotic about…
FAT - how could one soul keep popping up in the same timeline? Does he like possess bodies….or are we talking about toddlers?🙈
Ep 24 - it’s heart warming and yet at the same time irritating to see how much trouble Yan has to go through - the “1 ep per day” isn’t helping either🙈
IKR?1 I would have never imagined ZLS to partner so well with a guy as old as WC (I know she had another age gap partner previously but the gap was obvious unlike here). One thing I find amazing is that when i see ZLS, I don’t identify her as “Sang Zhi” from Hidden Love. I mean have this issue where whenever i see the MC from WIFTY or even the ML from Hidden Love in other work, I can’t seem to be able to separate the character from the actor? But with ZLS it’s effortless.
Who is DT? I didn’t realize that I’ve seen WP before (from Crush) but it’s surprising how familiar her voice is even though I watched it years ago.

Judith McNaught was quite the phase ngl🙈🤭
IDK honestly, it’s just his actions remind me of somebody who was hurt that he was deceived. One line in particular bothers me - when Yan asked him if he had ever loved her, the way he phrased it kind of struck odd (could be a translation error though). His answer was “from the moment I found out you were a fraud I could never love you” instead of his usual blunt snarky response. Even in their last fight, HM totally lied (in the jeep) about all the things he hated about her so I can’t help feeling he’s been lying for much longer. The extravagant gifts reminded me of JMcnaught since in one of her stories, the ML wrongly believes that the FL loves another man, so he “pays” for her attention after they get married with jewels and stuff and refuses to accept her love since it’s “fake”.
My theory is that he really did fall for Yan for all the reasons he listed during the ill fated dinner scene but once he found out about the scam, he closed his heart? He’s pretty much addicted to running background checks on everybody so this could have been a routine check just to understand her better/ figure out if his parents would accept her (red flag behaviour but eh he’s Houming😅).
Yan definitely still loves him but her world has shattered since the main reason why she loved him no longer exists - he didn’t in fact know her or trust her 🫠 I really like her character- she’s flawed but incredibly badass given how terrible her life has been. Houming needs to improve but based on the latest episodes there’s hope🙈
Seee this is the issue - he doesn’t have anybody to bro with unless they are on his payroll/ psychotic about…
It was a game of patience- I tried to rewatch their scenes again and found quite a lot of hints that were overlooked the first time (particularly HM’s true feelings for Yan).
I’ve read a novel (Once and Always by J. Mcnaught) that is low key similar to this to a certain extent so it wasn’t that difficult to understand HM’s perspective but it feels good to know that I wasn’t simply projecting my delusions😅

FAT - Thanks for the recommendation! Does it cover all 10 lifes? The plot sounds interesting🙊
The shady lawyer did feel familiar for some reason - apparently he was in “Always Home” too - only I can’t exactly recall his character now 🙈
Were you able to catch up with Love’s Ambition? I’m afraid I’ve gotten a tad too obsessed by it now- the next few episodes are kind of predictable but there’s something magnetic about the show that makes me impatient for more🙈
Seems to me there's going to be another paternity test... Is his "brother" really his son or was Hao Ming…
TMAI - gosh are things going to escalate in the next couple of episodes 🙈 I hope they’ll put us out of our misery by this week with the express package.
Seems to me there's going to be another paternity test... Is his "brother" really his son or was Hao Ming…
Yes- seems like his relationship (godson) must be a secret since I find it hard to believe that HM wouldn’t run a background check on the lawyer who’d be taking care of a time bomb like the sister.
Seems to me there's going to be another paternity test... Is his "brother" really his son or was Hao Ming…
Yes, I'm confident that the Shens will not abandon Chen but I just feel so bad for Chen. He's just found happiness after a long time only to have everything shattered so soon is just 💔 And to make it so public too??
Miss Cleavage (🤣) definitely needs an unforgettable lesson. I wonder what the Lawyer's deal is...is he related to the rival ceo?
Seems to me there's going to be another paternity test... Is his "brother" really his son or was Hao Ming…
Gosh I hope he really is HM's son🙊
It's already bad enough that Chen has to deal with the fact that his brother is his dad (and incorrectly assume that Yan left because of him)....but if he finds out that he's just a pawn in the crazy sister's scheme, it'll kill him 🥲
Can't put it past her though. Her only excuse is that HM is her nephew's father.

Glad they are clearing up misunderstandings.
