I wish if we could get the backstory behind the "henchman" and the sister. He's so loyal but isn't inherently…
š I think you might have just traumatized Ji Hye abit š¤ In a way their connection is what I was hoping for with SU and DR back in ep 1-3 so this is a good alternative I guess.
Itās interesting how the shelter dog scene, TY, and the henchman managed to humanize Ji Hye so much. I mean normally, the jealous sibling thrope works in such a way where you donāt really give much thought to them right? But here Iām actually rooting for her to have a proper happy ending.
I agree. I can see why some viewers may want an exponential change in her outlook, but, tbh, I don't. I like the…
Exactly! It would have been so unrealisticš That is an interesting take on her escalated clumsiness. The stress induced gastritis was a nice touch so it doesnāt get too cliche. Itās like the saying - āthe truth will set you freeā and right now DR is knee deep š«
Mother TF - Yes! And even the very subtle side story with G and Kang? It almost feels like an Easter egg - you can easily miss their story.
He is a slimy POS. My bet is on him wishing to takeover Natural Bebe. And the quickest way to achieve that is…
Ohhh we are so getting ep 1 JH back tomorrowš¤ He no longer has to drown himself in guiltā¦he just needs to āØbibbity bobbity boo⨠Da Rim into confessingš
Weāll also finally know if we need to strangle or feel relieve about SU. Will he be a good friend and put DR and us out of our misery by being the one to tell her about JH or will he drag it further š
Ha Yeong literally blackmailed the 2ML saying she'd expose him if he didn't help her, and is borderline stalking…
Exactly! Ha Yeong alone has so much potential - she just needs to learn how to break free from her own insecurities. The way she keeps latching on to guys who arenāt interested suggests she is craving for the attention her parents refuse to give her. She literally fell for SU because he was so good at working with the kids (and yes because he is good looking). She has passion but is completely suffocated by her parents (and āgoldenā brother).
I like your suggestion - it makes more sense too since right now things are way too messy to root for them. Since Jun too is part of their equation, SU canāt just settle for HY too as it would be unfair for all 3 of them.
Do you think they will go for a time skip? Part of the story is about DR not being able to get a job,/ unable to pass the civil exam because of her interview related PTSD. So I feel like they have the perfect opportunity to add a proper time skip for this arc so along with this they can connect to SU-HY with a more favorable/ less forceful outcome. What do you think?
I agree. I can see why some viewers may want an exponential change in her outlook, but, tbh, I don't. I like the…
Itās more organic too since sheās supposed to have no corporate experience/ has PTSD but now she is more confidant enough to even handle livestreams and willingly talk to the chairman even if itās not in a perfect manner. Now she needs to conquer her personal insecurities.
Itās also interesting how in their own way, the mothers are beginning to leave their mark in the company even though they were hired because they were deemed as āfailuresā. It sends a positive message on giving people a second chance. Pacing their growth together instead of turning DR into an unusually fast learner could be misread by viewers that the writer is undermining the other mothers - canāt risk triggering the k-netz specially when Kdramas lately promote marriage and kids.š
I donāt think either of the ladies should be heavily criticized. And itās nice that a SFL isnāt bashed for…
I completely agree with you. It was actually quite interesting to see viewers being nice to the SFL for a change. More than the general comments, I guess it just seemed quite unfair how the same people who bash DR for her lack of character development/ being morally grey/ lying even if she didn't do it just for kicks are also the same people that keep praising HY eventhough half her problems would have not happened if she had accepted SU's rejection gracefully since it's clear he has too much baggage to deal with ATM. It has to be a fair assessment.
Honestly even the fact that she visited JH while he was sick can be explained based on what they showed in ep…
She didn't know about the fiance during the porridge scene. All his actions and disdain upto this point suggested his was very single.
You are trying too hard by psychoanalysing every move. While there is a possibility that they could end up hooking up depending on the right circumstances, that wasn't her main objective for this particular scene. That's what I said in my original comment and that's what you seem to be agreeing as well.
I never said that she didn't have any urges- I'd have to be blind not to notice it but this isn't relevant to the sick visit scene.
He is a slimy POS. My bet is on him wishing to takeover Natural Bebe. And the quickest way to achieve that is…
Specially on the yacht - you'd think he hasn't ever dated before the way he was so excited- if he was a peacock you know he'd be strutting his feathers out proudlyš
Da Rim really needs to believe in herself more. She has so much potential š„²
The 2nd FL just kept his secret....she's just spoiled nepo baby and that's it. The rest of them are making things…
Employers generally do not say "i will tell everything to so and so" in order to get things done- specially when the employee doesn't want to do something when they are not on the clock š
What bad thing do you think HY has done that makes her comparable to the 3 other leads?
She keeps forcing her views without giving consideration to the other partyās. In ep 1, she did it to JH. From the moment she met SU, sheās been forcing her feelings on him. She kissed him when she knew he liked DR for instance. It doesnāt matter if DR doesnāt see SU in that way, nobody can forcefully attempt to kiss another person just because they think they can change the otherās mind.
Her relationship with Jun is really sweet but just because Jun likes her, she doesnāt get first dibs on his dad. Itās nice that she is keeping DRās secret but the only reason why she is doing it is not out of the goodness of her heart but rather because she doesnāt want to loose her hold on SU. And letās not forget the constant blackmailing. While I admit I found her tactics humorous - specially since this meant I had to suffer less time of SU being the āSteveā of JH and DRās moments, in reality you have to admit itās wrong right? She is literally forcing him to hang out with her.
Her honesty and self assurance may feel refreshing specially since we are on pins and needles waiting for DR to finally tell the truth, but her approach should be toned down.
Her parents are terrible and her brother is slimy and I truly feel bad for her situation but that doesnāt mean her flaws should be ignored either (specially if we are going to hyper fixate on the other 3 leadsā flaws).
Going through the comments, it's interesting how Da Rim is being scruitinized so harshly. But at the same time, Ha Yeong's character is practically whitewashed.
They are both multi-faceted flawed characters which is what makes them interesting. So I am not sure why Da Rim lying to help her family is heavily criticized while Ha Yeong is practically praised like a long suffering saint eventhough she has done (and still is doing) her fair share of questionable things.
Even if you want to talk about character development, HY hasn't had any unusually high character development compared to DR as far as I can see as of ep 8.
Am I missing something?
PS: I'm not saying that HY deserves criticism (she doesn't) but rather it's interesting how unbalanced the comments section is.

I didn't mean that she sees him as an idol. But since she truly has deluded herself into believing he has very little interest in her, she only yearns for him from far. She has the hots for him but she isn't going to put them into action (drunk Da Rim is a different story).
Also i don't know how it is like from where you are from, but a person would have to be seriously horny if they have to pretend to visit a sick person with the intention of pouncing on him (specially when you are supposed to be the sober one). š š š
He is a slimy POS. My bet is on him wishing to takeover Natural Bebe. And the quickest way to achieve that is…
True! TY is mostly just possessive at best (makes sense given how HY is with SU at times only she's nice). I think we've disected the brother so much, it's bordering towards fan fiction now š¤£
I hope his addition makes a positive impact though. The uncertainty behind his character makes things interesting- it's almost like having a tug a war with my rational side vs. my kdrama/ watpad coded delulu side. If you get what I mean?šš¤£
WTPR is an excellent cautionary tale of having too much to say but with so little time. The haphazard factor didn't affect me much since I read the final Argon arc out of curiousity weeks prior to the season finale but I can imagine how it might have felt like without the "cheat sheet"š.
My thoughts on ep 9 preview. Personally I'm quite surprised where it's going. In fact I'm starting to suspect…
Since she did everything for her mum, he's definitely going to forgive her (after ragging her abit). Mothers are his weakness. Since he's already met her's, no revenge plan will be strong enough š
I wish if we could get the backstory behind the "henchman" and the sister. He's so loyal but isn't inherently evil. He's pretty much the only person who seems to care about her.
In a way their connection is what I was hoping for with SU and DR back in ep 1-3 so this is a good alternative I guess.

Now that youāve mentioned it, it really is telling. Even unemployed, Da Rim values working and fears slacking off and being a disappointment š„²
Do you think theyāll free us tomorrow? Or will we have to wait till the beginning of ep 10 š
I do love her perseverance - i hope she uses it to break free from her parents. Nobody deserves the š© they put her through. As for SU, I hope if he is end game, they do her justice by not rushing their relationship arc. The actress really brought her character to life ā¤ļø
