I believe there are no news yet, but Dino has said if this season is successful enough, they'll make a second one, so it's definitely on the table.
But who knows what is successful to them. This is a webdrama, the only way to "count" the audience are probably through video views? No idea, but I'm so hoping this story can carry on, because Itakiss without the second season is basically an unfinished work (which it already is, but you know what I mean). We'll have to wait until this ends and see the feeback from the production team, from LINE TV, etc. Itakiss Love in Tokyo was also on the fence for a bit there but eventually S2 was produced!

Agreed on Zhi Shu! And also it seems to me that he's a lot more talkative in this version too? Like we see him striking a conversation with Yue Qin a lot of times, instead of brooding/being silent constantly. He still has that serious attitude but at the same time, he just talks a lot more here! I like that.

Agreed. I haven't seen the original, but she wasn't really that redeemable here, in my opinion. It got too messy and she didn't seem all that guilty to be (indirectly) hurting Hui Zhen. Not to mention how ridiculous it was to have Hui Zhen react so positively after finding out. Even if she's a kindhearted person, it was still her identity and her love life that was being messed with - by a person so close to her.
She's super talented, charismatic and also quite beautiful. I wished she ventured more outside the family drama genre, but still, she is lovely. Thank you for this!

I've changed it back to 36 episodes since I believe the majority of the viewers here on MDL is following the Viki subbed version (36), rather than the tv cut.

If this season is successful enough, we'll get a season 2 so let's stay hopeful! I remember the 2013 japanese version was also very on the fence during season 1 but everything turned out okay, so Miss in Kiss will have the same luck, I'm sure :)
