Far from being a sitcom. It's a melodramatic, makjang-y weekend drama that has a lot of characters and secrets and crying. It's similar to the likes of East of Eden or May Queen. So far we're still in early stages, but I'd say so far, it's been engaging. I'm curious to know what will turn out of this and the relationships between the main characters.
Most of them depend on the hairstyle and make up they have at a certain time. For example, Joy and Kim Yoo Jung look kind of alike in those pictures mostly because of the hairstyling. I don't find them that lookalike otherwise.
The one with the most striking resemblance, for me, are Lee Sun Bin and Song Hye Kyo. They have the same aura as well.
It's not very clear on the love lines, but I think maybe they'll write it as it goes along? I'm inclined to believe it's Hae Dang(Hye Sun)/Kyung Soo and maybe Ji Na/Hyun Joon. But the drama seems more centered around the two ladies and the families. Not sure.
To be honest you with, I find it strange that Hae Dang's sisters don't seem to have any set loveplots so far. Family dramas love to had love lines left and right.
Good to see Ra Bong Hee here, wonderfully portrayed by the underrated Baek Jin Hee. She was definitely the driving force behind Missing 9, despite it being a not so good drama.
I was so proud of this for picking up after ep 8 and it remained good just up until this week's episodes...…
I agree with you. I also felt the last 3 episodes lack a bit of an impact, especially the rain scene. But I'm still rooting for a season 2 because I really warmed up to this version, as well. In my opinion, It Started With a Kiss is a wall, so this would never rival it (not even Love In Tokyo rivals it, despite being a good version that I also love).
I appreciate and agree with your Kiss Me review, btw. It didn't quite work for me and your reasoning really puts it into words.

Right now it's just office life and Ho Won's struggles.

(I get emotional just thinking about it.)
