Bring it on! I mean, it won't do anything in relation to the other versions because this is just another take on it. Of course, there are plenty of stuff out there to adapt, but hey... I'll totally tune in for this so I can't really say anything lol hopefully everyone's good on their roles.
MBC changed their minds again and will now air the last 4 half-hour episodes on the 27th and 28th (instead of…
Moving the drama through those timeslots will confuse the viewers, so I think they're essentially not even trying to grab more people to tune in for the final episodes :( well, as long as they air, I guess. Such a complicated situation.
It depends. This drama was cool for most part but in a marathon it can get a little draggy. I watched it every week and I felt the last 10 episodes or so, especially, were a little slower than the rest. It's not consistently solid, it has its moments. I liked that it wasn't a full on makjang weekender (I like makjang, but this was a nice change of pace). It had historical elements (not in a sageuk way, but it makes us aware of modern Korean history) and it doesn't really have any romantic annoyances, so there's also that. The lead pairing is pretty cute and believable and the relationships are heartwarming and important to the plot. Dol Mok and So Joo are likeable heroes in their own right.
I'd say the biggest waste here was Im Joo Eun and her very one dimensional Hwa Young (Joo Eun did her best but the character was just dull). There's a lot of evil going on, of course, but our heroes are good enough for us to root for them. If you're down to commit to such a long series, go for it. I think it's best watched in small doses rather than binge watching, but that's my take on it.
I'm in 14th episode and after see Sa Jin Jin girlgroup era's photo, I'm wondering, is she have a bad relationship…
I think Jin Jin's one of those celebrities that keeps a lot to herself and manages to separate her life as an actress and a star and her home/daily life. We know for a fact she didn't like to do variety (or that she was considered a "boring" celeb). She's still super close to her parents, choosing to essentially live with them. I think maybe her life as a girl group member was simply business and she didn't keep any real friendships from that time. For some, show business isn't exactly a very comfortable place and I see Jin Jin as an introverted person. She gets along with her staff but it's hard to create deep bonds when her life is always on the limelight. Not to mention her total lack of a love life, which also tells us she's just super awkward in general.
Her childhood friendships are really genuine and they rely on each other a lot. It makes a lot of sense that she would be more comfortable around people she's known all her life rather than stay in touch with her fellow girl group members, since that probably didn't last very long.
is there love triangle in this drama? Planning to watch it :)
Yes and no. There is some development on that front, but it's resolved pretty quickly, so if you're planning to binge watch it, I think that plot is gonna feel very brief.
He actually has quite the presence on screen and looks a little older than his actual age. I see some leading man potential in him, especially for intense roles.
will it get cancelled because of the strike?? I haven't seen any news talking about it.
You guys can correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the dramas just halted? They're not totally cancelled right? I'm also talking about Bad Thief, Good Thief that didn't air this weekend.
I always thought he was going to be like Yeo Jin Goo, Yoo Seung Ho or Lee Hyun Woo who have transitioned to adult roles by now. The first time I saw him was on Giant and he really impressed me. He and Joo Sang Wook created such an interesting character from what looked like a standard villain. I'm still holding on some hope he'll get his big break because sometimes I feel we're just on a rotation between the same young male actors on primetime.
Thank you for the info!
