I have watched 5 episodes so far and I am not that much interested. does the story become more interesting later?…
It does get better. It was also pretty hard for me to truly get behind this one because the first, I'd say, 10 episodes or so are slow. But once we get to Joong Hee's plot (with the family and later on with Mi Yeong in particular) it gets better. There's a lot of attention given to Hye Yeong and Jeong Hwan (and his family) so there's that. The couples have their developments but it's not right away. Carry on until around ep15 and see if you still feel that way, it's really a good drama.
High Kick Through The Roof?? Isn't she still a child then...?
She is but we fast forward to the future during an episode and we see that her character, as a grown up, ends up marrying her brother's best friend (she's played by Park Shin Hye in that episode!).
In all of the examples I gave above, she only plays the child portion of said characters ^^
I'm back just to read the comments and I see if its less depressing and then I see "annoying second lead" which…
But he isn't as annoying as other second leads, I mean, at least so far. We're 4 episodes in and he doesn't overshadow the main leads nor steals any spotlight. Idk what's in store for him but don't miss out on this drama just because of that. It's totally worth checking out.
This drama is so good I can't wait until the next ep!!,, does anyone know any books/films that are similar to…
Not books or films but honestly, if you don't mind me, this drama is actually very jdrama-y. The execution, the story, the cinematography. So, jdramas like Soredemo, Ikite Yuku, Love That Makes You Cry, N no Tame Ni or even Tatta Hitotsu no Koi are quite similar to this.
The ratings aren't steady, but they do better on tuesdays than on mondays (marking numbers like 5-6% for the monday episodes and then going up to 9,1% on tuesdays, which happened this week). It's doing fairly well, it's usually the most watched drama on that timeslot on tuesdays (beating Two Cops and Doubtful Victory).
