I find this story [even in the Korean version] creepy. I mean they're 18 years old and already married?! Find…
Even so, even if it is I guess the other comments were refering to the fact it's exaggerated. Some of the elements ARE exaggerated and put into a fictional perspective. Of course there are tons of couples of who get married early, or the guy doesn't like her at first or vice versa. Despite that, the way it's portrayed here might not be totally slice of life-y, but it doesn't mean the story couldn't have been real ^^

Is it related to the book pride and prejudice by Jane Austen?
No.

Solid cast of younger stars with the experience of awesome veterans. I'm pretty excited for this, since it stars one of my top favourites Baek Jin Hee. She's playing a different character yet again - it seems she does love to break out of her comfort zones everytime. I'm rooting for her first gig as a female lead.

And maybe this is where I totally and finally warm up to Choi Jin Hyuk, since Jin Hee has this magical power of making me a fan of her leading men. Also nice to see rookie Jeong Hye Seong here.

This story has many, many charms but 'realism' and 'real world', in my opinion, are not one of them. We have to put this all into context. It's adapted from a shojo manga; like Shirubia said so well, it's from the 90s, where mentalities and ways of writting stories for teens were different (would this story work nowadays? Probably not. I guess it would be outdated, considered cliché); Naoki's behaviour might be everything and anything, but looking deep down into it, there are moments where we know how much he cares for Kotoko. He's not 'black and white', he's not a bad guy or a nice guy. He's just him. He's just a dude who happened to be pretty insecure, inside of his own world, that slowly grew and understood how much she mattered to him. We've seen this thousands of times in other stories, and this one is another take on it, objectively speaking.

This relationship is not perfect nor it was ever portrayed as so. Was it foolish to get married so early? Totally. But sometimes they realize it the hard way and adjust to it without giving up, because they do want to be together, work on their problems.

For more depth on this - especially Naoki's development, I'd say nothing beats It Started with a Kiss.

I was a little wordy, sorry about that :D but this story does mean a lot to me and I love to share some perspective on it :) nobody has to agree, it's just an opinion/taste.

On Naeil's Cantabile Oct 21, 2014
The only thing that bothers me in this whole remake is that it's just terribly done in certain aspects. I have no issues with Shim Eun Kyung (maybe with how Nae Il's written) nor with Joo Won, but I do have a problem with: why doesn't it look like Nae Il's struggling financially? Her house is HUGE. The building/interiors don't look like a music school either. The secondary characters feel like fillers. In only two episodes why did they give so much focus to Yoo Jin's ex. This one is arguable, but it annoyed me. It's the same old kdrama formula that we need a bitchy female character to put our main romance into perspective. But this story does not need it. And I assure you I'll be pissed if they make Il Rak a love interested for Nae Il. That's just the biggest bullsh*t they could pull.

TL;DR: the editing/scene transition is not very good; the art direction is misplaced, lacks more depth and understanding of the story itself. Maybe this is all a matter of directing, maybe I'm just picky. IMO, this one fails in the details such as lack of depth in general, the build ups, the lack of music (it should BREATHE classical music, man) more than anything else.

Title Rosy Lovers
Anyone have tips on which site is carrying this show?
Not yet. There's no word on Viki, at least. But they usually get last minute licenses for weekend dramas so there's still some hope.

I want eng subs!! I been waiting 2 day's now... why it's takes forever for the subs to come out in any giving…
Kdramas are far more popular internationally than jdramas, right now. Adding to that, several subbing websites such as Dramafever and Viki have licenses for korean dramas and provide the subtitles super fast. Ocasionally they also have japanese dramas, but the subbing a) takes a couple of days or b) the dramas are already finished. Either way, the subs are never as quick as with kdramas and even twdramas.

We'll have to wait for independent fansubbers/fansubbing groups over at d-addicts to pick this up. It's usually what happens with jdramas these days.

Title Jang Bori Is Here Spoiler
I'm glad that MBC chose not to drop makjang! I enjoyed this from beginning to end (except for that 'mole-faced'…
Yes. I'm not too sure if MJ's ending fit all the evil things she did for so many episodes, but that stupid idea of having Moony falling in love with her 'twin' was just cruel to his character. Talk about an unhealthy ending.
