Does anyone know how fast the Episodes are subbed and uploaded onto Viki? :)
The uploading might be done almost daily, or as soon as the provider hands them the episodes. The subbing depends on how many subbers are helping. Maybe you can check the channel in a few more days to have more episodes completed. They are currently still subbing episode 2 :)
Jenny Huang's character wants to be called Omega. Is that a reference to In a Good Way?! Remember that conversation Xiao Wei had with Ri Qi (Jack Yao, who's also in this drama) where he said she was Omega?
referred to a 50 episodes drama, is it worth watching? how deep the romance is in this one?
There are many love plots (some smaller than others), but the OTP (Bo Ri and Jae Hwa) aren't really front and center of this drama. They are cute and are having a nice development, but other plots - the mama drama, the secrets, Min Jung's evilness etc - have a lot more focus. If you really want to watch something heavy on romance, I guess this one in particular isn't it.
I like makjang when it's not ashamed of admiting it's makjang (hello, "Come, Jang Bo Ri"!). There's nothing necessarily wrong with enjoying those plots, because while watching, we are fully aware of its addictive ridiculousness. Just going with its flow can be fun.
This seems to have those good old family conflicts. If this gets picked up for subbing somehow, I'm not saying no.
I'm not PSH's biggest fan, but this could be an interesting role. I hope Lee Yoo Bi takes this one, too - "who's character used to be a sasaeng idol fan then became a journalist" - she can pull this off!
Not too excited about Kim Young Kwang, but we'll see. It's all about execution, story, acting, and I feel PSH really needs a breakout role that's not playing the same bland character.
They killed the storyline by putting too much emphasis on the genetic disease. It has taken an entirely different…
Part of me agrees with you @Aryael, but on the other hand, I like that the separation and Gun's act of selflessness was about them both, not about Anna's cruelty in creating a fake abortion agreement or because he wanted to stay with the girlfriend all along. I felt the original was too much too cruel with the female lead, where here we know how much Mi Young suffers, but it wasn't because he didn't want to be with her, but rather the disease was something he didn't want to put on her shoulders. Gun wasn't so wishy washy/childish like the original male lead, in my opinion.
This version is more melodramatic, but more about the pairing itself, rather than a third party's cruelty or anger.
In the end, I also agree with @heavenlene. The disease might feel kdramaland vulgarity and too far from the original, but it's their own touch to it :)
Like everyone else, I'm liking this drama a lot. I like all characters so far. The tone is funny, nothing out of the ordinary for a family drama, but what matters is that it's entertaining and grabs your attention.
I'm starting to feel Kang Jae and Hyo Jin might be my favourites, even with their small screentime so far. I'm just so into the arranged marriage trope. I hope she softens him a little :)
I also love Dal Bong and Seo Wool, as well as the crazy awesome pairing of Kang Shim and Tae Joo. Hoping this drama gets better and better!
tvN produces nice dramas, but this depends really on the writing and how much they respect the original source. If the casting is good, I'll give it a try (do expect an idol or two, it's bound to happen).
The elder actors are doing such a fantastic job. I teared up in many scenes with grandma and grandpa. Plus, why…
Very true :)
I'm still curious to know how long will it take for Sin Ae and her husband to know about the disease. Did you notice at the shopping mall, how she looked at grandma like she was faking after dropping the money on the floor? For crying out loud, what kind of daughter doesn't realise her mother is sick and even thinks it might be an act.
Tbh, I also wished So Lee was a better person in general, but Sin Ae deserves a daughter-in-law just like her. Every bit of it.

I found that part so unfair for Da Jeong, because truly, even if she's an amazing and dedicated grandaughter-in-law, the rest of the family should also help, in order to provide a comfortable living for the elders.
Surely it's very complicated to be a daughter-in-law in Korea :c but also with daughters/mothers like Sin Ae, everything becomes twice as hard.
Am I looking at it wrong or?
