Well you are not wrong definittely not crazy, and its also your right as a viewer to express your opinion. I'm still enjoying the drama but i have a couple issues other than the age. Honestly Romance in the Alley has a better production and casting choices. The main cast Guan Xiaotong and Wang Anyu only appeared at ep 20 for example. This one could easily let the 2 older sisters get married with their younger actors and at around ep 12 change them. They still would be old but it would be better. I will make another comment later with other issues. I'm still not giving up it has a couple things that i really like as well.
Do the younger versions part last a while or is it flashbacks throughout what has aired already or both?
The drama starts with Jiali around 8-10 years old and the 2nd sister birth and they grow up. We see them being born and growing up and the cast changes as they grow up. The complain is that some of the cast shouldnt have chanhed so early in the drama because it doesnt match their age.
Honestly Jiali and Jiawen grew up and their storyline became a bit boring. Jiayi was a little brat when she was young and her nouveau riche storyline is fun. She is such a show off 🤣 I wish the best for Jiahuan but her stubborness is a bit off putting. Liu Xiaoling i believe you can marry a Tang, let's go!! i'm rooting for Xiaoling and Jiaxi to get some hotties because Ouyang and Weiguo are a bit😬. Jianguo is still in the lead for hot husband award but let's improve the competition a little bit 😅. At least i have Study Group for some hotties🤣😁 ok i'm ending my shallow comments.
The sisters complaining about always getting second hand stuff from the older ones reminded me of myself 🤣 My older sister is 2 years older and i always got her clothes until i started complaining. Financially it makes sense for parents but younger kids always seeing the older ones with new stuff doesn't feel good.

The most ridiculous one for me was Rebel Princess, a 40 year old playing 15 years old, then most of the drama she was 18 ending at 20 years old. I gave up that one. These actresses are very confident to accept these roles, i would feel ridiculous. Asians don't age? Not that sure 😅
Its a bit hard for me to get used to Jiali change, they got an actress that looks like the parents sister. All the Jiali generation people got 45+ age wise and looks wise, and it seems out of place. Maybe in their later years it would look better but now it's a struggle.
Its a good drama but i'm not liking the jiali rural arc. They are treating this period like no big deal when educated youths struggled so hard doing farm work. Farmers and youths sended to work suffered a lot during these times. There was fear because it was after the big famine and nobody wanted to go farm.The drama portrayal is too peaceful.
I really hope this melon becomes true, it is perfect for mai mai. I really want to see her in a post-apocalyptic…
The novel has good reputation and post apocaliptic theme in china is not explored enough. Another scifii really liked despite the numerous mathematics theories 😅 was 3 body problem, and it was good because it was faithful to the novel, censorship wasn't harsh. Well i need to watch Wandering earth now, but why it's marked s3 on mdl? Where is S2 ? Are they filming 2 sequels at the same time?

The amount of issues i have seen with drama productions before and after airing is so crazy. There is also a lot of underpaid people in the industry so a lot of mess and mediocrity. It was just a weibo post discussing it so not 100% sure, but so many crime dramas filmed after and already released so i'm inclined to believe this.
So many dramas were plagiarized and not taken down.. Guo Jiming and Yu Zheng had 100 writers and related professions…
This drama is not the first to be based on true events without consent. I think there is one called "who is he" that was more controversial because the family was the one complaining. Iqiyi only needs to handle the victim side well to not get the gov attention. The other one wasnt taken down. Maybe because i have seen so many similar stuff happening, i don't believe they are in so much trouble. Iqiyi is the platform that has the best reputation with crime dramas, i believe they can handle this.
