Iqiyi has a reputation for good crime series so it's always a great choice starring in one. It gives actors a chance to show their range and the audience will not think you are stagnant. ZJM is very smart in picking roles. Reset already showed her versatility., but it's good to pick more short dramas from time to time. No audience fatigue like this.
Omg i need ep 8 😭. What i don't like in these dramas is that criminals will get killed or jailed. I need them tortured and to cut their fingers one by one . Ok i sound like a psychopath but i want them to suffer what they made these girls suffer.

We can see chinese mentalities changing by these relationship portrayals on tv. There is a lot of dramas that show conflicts between mothers and daughters. I always feel empathy towards the mothers, because the fathers are normally absent from education and major life decisions. For me, it doesnt absolve them of anything. It's so easy to be the good person when you avoid conflict. Zhen Zhen father immediately pointing fingers and asking for divorce just made me annoyed. If he was truly a good father he would take a stand on some decisions the mother took. Of course i alsp know the mother was terrible in a lot of situations.

I agree they are pure evil with no empathy towards the victims. But them missing their family, and celebrating special moments, made them human somehow, not completely devoid of emotions.
Chinese moms and their inability to show their love in a healthy way 🤦♂️. Zhen Zhen, despite running away from home, which is just a dumb thing to do underage, was doing an ok job trying to survive. Her suspicious nature was good but she was unlucky to meet those people.
I saw other iqiyi light on dramas before, and normally the criminals are unknown till the end. This is a fresh take. Just watching them do normal stuff like celebrating birthdays and new years aafter those horrible crimes feels very creepy. In a lot of moments these monsters feel very human and not caricature villains.
Weibo awards, iqiyi scream night awards, and Tencent Starlight awards, are not considered legit awards. They are fun events and a tradition in Cent. It doesn't mean China doesn't have real awards. For dramas, the mainstrean and important awards are: Magnolia, Golden Eagle, and Feitian also known as Flying Apsaras awards. You guys can check wikipedia list and see how hard is for popular/traffic actors to receive them . People comparing to Korea, have you guys seem some award shows there ? They also have their nonsense awards and prestigious award shows.

I still watch them, but i add modern dramas to the mix to not get bored. Chinese dramas have good diversity, taking into account heavy censorship, if you dont watch only historical dramas.
