So KSH isn't just a product of a dysfunctional family, he is a product of a dysfunctional society. This is putting me off of K-culture in a big way. It seems everything is a false front. No authenticity. No generosity of spirit. No egalitarianism. No genuine remorse.
Lemme talk about a south Korean movement that is the reason for the low birth rate and which was started cuz south…
Don't Korean men have mothers? How does an entire society devolve into this? Surely there are decent Korean men among the mix (whatever the percentage)?
I entirely support these 4B4t women but I also entirely lament SK's declining birth rate.
In my country (USA) there has been a war against healthy masculinity. All masculinity has been equated with toxic masculinity. I don't know how this compares to what is going on in SK.
I feel women should be more supportive of healthy masculinity. Fortunately, this seems to be starting to change for the better. We need to esteem women & men and healthy relationships.
S1 is almost completed, it was supposed to air in April. S2 is mid shooting. Disney has already invested alot…
There's also all the brand partners to consider. Lots of product placements. If the show is cancelled, does Disney make them whole and include these costs in a lawsuit vs. KSH or might there be multiple lawsuits? The complexity of this is enormous!
You reap what you sow. This guy is just diabolical. KSR wasn't even after him for his pedo ass. All he had to…
When I saw that video of him treating his fans harshly (almost violently) I realized he must have a severe lack of self-esteem. Deep down, he knows he is a creep and a dirt bag and this is why he craves the attention and the spotlight to make himself forget (for a few moments) the gaping hole inside his heart. He treats his fans harshly because he doesn't not respect them. And he doesn't respect his fans BECAUSE they admire him and that makes him self-conscious of the emptiness inside.
Because they first forgave the loan, then they reclaimed the debt only to use as a threat to keep her in line.…
Gotcha. I am not a lawyer and this is more than a little confusing, so I'd likewise appreciate those facts to be revealed, for my own understanding and so as to keep my comments accurate & relevant.
The more I learn about this Kim Soo Hyun fellow, the less I like him.
I'd sure like to scold his parents for neglecting to teach him right from wrong. And for not fostering his self-esteem. I don't think he likes himself, much. Which explains why he craves the spotlight attention and also why (in that video) he treats his fans so harshly. (How can he respect them for admiring him while deep inside he knows he is a creep?)
I hope that all the people around him take time for introspection and stop enabling his toxic behaviors. I'm sure many are afraid and must suppress their true feelings and withhold honest opinions lest they lose their livelihoods or suffer other recriminations.
It would be nice if the people we watch for entertainment possess sincerity and genuine goodwill, instead of presenting false fronts and using their positions of power to exploit and convey cruelty towards those who seek to appreciateโand sometimes even cherishโthem.
I welcome the turn in episode 6. I can now say that I have settled in and am enjoying this show.
Things (and people) are starting to come together and character motivations are being revealed. It's still farcical, but we're getting some pathos, too, which makes it feel more real. - The bird from episode 1 needs to come back. - I actually like the 2ML and his ex-wife is totally adorable. Her character is perhaps a bit too similar to FL's best friend but that's a good problem. I hope she they get back together. -I also hope that FL wasn't the "other woman". Her scene at the company lunchroom was heartbreaking! (But as I already mentioned, the pathos provides much-needed balance.)
how's my potato doing today? it's drizzling this morning. I hope the humidity doesn't really affect it.actually…
FWIW, my garden potatoes are doing great. It'll be a fun day when the grandkids come to dig them up. Last year they brought friends!
The onions and spring onions are ready for harvest, and my tomato seedlings have sprouted and will soon be ready for transplanting. (I'm using the back of my car as a greenhouse!)
Hoping for Disney+ to fire him and ask for penalty fees. Next, recast ML.
"If Disney+ sues for a hefty penalty, Kim could be liable not only for the guarantee, but also for damages caused by production delays and canceled episodes."

It'd be funny if I hadn't read on this forum just yesterday someone's post containing comments by that young actress from that shoot.
As I recall, she was totally disturbed by KSH, was shocked when he gave her a deep kiss (complaining to her mother that he was supposed to only pretend) and that her favorite part of the scene was when she fell off the bridge face-down into the mud because during that time she didn't have to look at or engage with the creepy predator, or feel his breath on her skin..

Kim Soo Hyun also claimed that he and Kim Sae Ron never dated, but it turned out to be a lie.
Lee Jin ho previously claimed that Kim Sae Ron didn't work part-time, but it turned out to be a lie.
Kim Soo Hyun previously claimed that he never visited Kim Sae Ron's apartment, but it turned out to be a lie.
