Considering his misogynistic rant in ep 14 and his barely present in her life. They are not a good match.

At ep 10, her male coworkers were so nice with her at the beginning and calling her pretty and helping her out and now all are assholes because she's their competition. They keep saying that she has a communication problem but I wonder if it's a gender thing and their intimidated by her skill.

These old ass men sabotaging her again and again. Such losers.

I'm conflicted. I love Akiko I love her resilience. But I hate what Japan was during the war times. I can't forget what they did to Nanjing and other atrocities. Ofcourse that is not on Akiko the children during those times shouldn't have to go through all this. But of course we get a biased version of the war. It was hard for Akiko but I can't stop thinking about Japan's victims. America too shouldn't have done what it did, like bombing regular citizens? What is wrong with everyone. War shouldn't exist these and all the victims of war deserve a normal healthy existence. I'm just over-all conflicted. Maybe I should take a break from this movie.
