This review might be the best thing i have read today. Thank you for this ! It actually made me want to try the…
Thank you so much! โค๏ธ
Also, you should watch it if it piques your interest. As I say, the last episode kiss is awesome. Plus, it'll take less than an hour of your life. So, why not? Just fast-forward through the annoying bits.
Am I wrong to feel peeved that there are no BLs to be seen here? (And no, The Untamed doesn't count. ๐)
Thanks so much, Awkward Potato! Yes, I did read that article, and I was happy to see some BLs in it. I do hope that more of them will be prominently featured in the future as well -- for instance, Love in the Big City was so big in Korea, so controversial, and so in need of support, I would have loved to have seen an editorial on it. Perhaps one day.
Thanks for taking my comment to heart, and for replying thoughtfully. I appreciate it.

Thanks. But not by MDL. We've been petitioning them for years to make BL/LGBT a genre, to allow us to post editorials on LGBT shows, and to include GagaOOLala as a streaming platform... to no avail.
as below so above took me out love mixing biblical themes with alchemy
Hahaha, yes. When I wrote that line, I was actually going for a low-hanging variation on "size matters". :) But, fortuitously, it became alchemical too!

Hello! Thank you for your comment. And, I'm glad to hear you watch & love BLs. Even if you don't, that's entirely within your right, of course, and you are under no obligation to recommend anything you don't want to.
I explained this in the comment to Awkward Potato, but it is precisely because the editorial claims to make recommendation for *all* genres, and conspicuously did not include BLs, that I took exception to it. Some might argue that BL is not a genre, but if Life and Youth are, surely anything under the LGBT rubric is?
Anyway, it's not the first time we gays have been excluded here. It certainly won't be the last.

Hello! Far be it from me to ask you to watch BLs, esp. if you don't want to, let alone make recommendations if you haven't seen a show.
However, I was miffed for two reasons. 1.The post said recommendations for *all* genres, which, to me, made the exclusion of BLs/LGBT shows quite conspicuous, and, frankly, upsetting. 2. I say, 'upsetting', because it comes against the backdrop of a blanket policy, on MDL, of not promoting any BL/LGBT shows on their front pages, or in editorials. I can't remember the last time, if ever, an LGBT show was featured prominently here. Can you?
Anyway, the responsibility is not yours, of course. You should watch & recommend what you like. But this is an editorial, and when it claims to speak for all genres, and doesn't, I don't think it's unfair for the excluded to feel, well, excluded!
Re: 7 It fits japanese actors better! Have you seen them? Most of them look positively starving, so thin the wind…
Oh, thank you so much! I attempted to write to you earlier, to thank you for the award, but couldn't open your profile. Anyway, now I get to thank you in public.
On Japanese actors, oh god, yes! KBL actors want to be Greek gods. But JBL actors want to look like Jesus on the cross. Beppu in HOTE was the worst -- it fit his character, but it made me uncomfortable watching him looking so malnourished!
Couldn't have said it any better....I wasn't too sure about creating yet another ID here on MDL, even though I…
Awww... Thank you so much! That does mean a lot to me.
Yeah, Korean obsession with air-brushing is on a whole other level compared to other countries. I mean, it happens in Thailand too, greatly, and to a lesser extent in Taiwan. But I'm sure Farrow & Ball must have multiple branches in Seoul to go by the amount of paint they apply on actors' skins. Who knew the Japanese, who produce the weirdest BLs, would be the most normal ones here?
YOU are brilliant as always. I always hope there is a review out there from you when I complete shows. You never…
Thank you, as always, for your encouragement and kind words! Glad you are with me on this one. To be fair, it wasn't particularly hard to 'read', but alas, by the time I saw the ending, my claws were out for a kill.

Anyway, I'll tag myself away. :)
