I agree ... I don't know why the rating in mydramalist is so important. The story/acting should be the focus. At only 112 ratings, I don't think it will be permanent anyways after more people start watching the drama.

For people who think it's "STUPID" to give early rating and reviews ... it isn't ... I've read the book many times and from the first 3 episodes and the trailers, I can tell how it's going. I love it so far.

ALSO, I reserve the right to change the rating if it's not as good as I thought. So far I am happy with the drama and will continue to watch. I don't care if it's low rating ... I give it high rating ... it's my choice. I've given TSY's drama low rating before even though I am her fan. It's just a personal record for myself.

Anyone else's rating doesn't effect my enjoyment of the show. I've waited too long to watch this drama so no one can ruin it for me.

My Early review is for myself to keep notes of the dramas I watch ... if you want read it, it's your choice.

I will update my thoughts on this drama as it develops. However, with a solid story, solid acting, I doubt that anything can go wrong ...

No it won't ... there will be lots of interactions between leads ... I think it's just setting up the context and conflicts.

He had a kid at 18 (accident) ... it was in the novel and the drama ...

He himself said in the book he didn't know about his feelings when she asked until later.

These are details that will be revealed within the first few episodes. The rest of the story seems to be similar. The card game, the wedding, her being tied up, etc ... were all highlights from the book. TBH, having read the book, I feel like seeing all these details take away the joy of anticipation so I am not going to watching any more trailers...

I am going to watch Princess Royal and come back when the drama is released. Story seems good so far.

I hate these releases ... I mean even if I don't watch the drama, I can piece together the highlights of the story from the trailers.

I think the reason they have to release new material is that there is no other way to promote the drama. Are the leads going to have a magazine shoot? Nope, because it's already done. Any show? Nope, because it's already done.

Most likely she didn't receive the message for some reason ... that's my guess. If you look at the trailer, she seems surprised that he ignored her? Like what did I do wrong ... anyone else get this feeling?

yeh I think he has a good sense of humor and it shows in his dramas.

I've the novels many times so it's too late for that :-) ... I think I am ok with the changes that they made.

To read or not to read? the novel

Advantage:
1) can understand the characters/their perspectives better
2) won't feel so anxious waiting for the next episodes
3) the novel was a really good read ...

Disadvantage:
If you are too hang up on certain points and feel bad about them, don't read ... Throughout the drama there will be this nagging feeling and wishing that they didn't change the story (for example, I was very disappointed that they changed The Double story because of Chinese censorship about reincarnations/souls swapping etc ...) And that feeling remains with me even though the entire story was good based on the change.
