I love the drama. It's not bad but I kinda hate CGI. I thought I watched anime at first xD JingYi is so beautiful…
damn if you thought this cgi was bad you should go look at the 2017 version and think again. su zhen literally looked like a kids cartoon snake in that one...
i watched up to episode 8 in china but then i realized she was gonna marry the emperor and i stopped bc i am so tired of roundabout relationships and characters not tying the knot due to unavoidable reasons. I know this is a good drama but my heart is weak cries
aw Bai Lu and Xu Kai are leads again but I kinda hate dramas in this era (at least i think its that era bc they mentioned japan) and i heard theres little romance? oof
I honestly wasnt expecting much from this drama when I started but surprisingly it drew me in. Sure the producers…
o also they talk sooo slow in this drama, i watched the entire thing in 3-4 days on 1.5x speed lmao (also the ending song sounds so good at 1.25x speed y'all should try it!)
I honestly wasnt expecting much from this drama when I started but surprisingly it drew me in. Sure the producers really pieced the film together weirdly but after a while I got used to it. But the actors were all so good at acting that I was rlly amazed. I cried (the authors really trolled us at the end) and laughed while watching this.
I feel the exact same as you! Taiwanese dramas have never been interesting to me. I've started multiple and never finished them, but this drama hit differently (and I never thought I would accept watching smth with infidelity) but the raw emotions played out by the leads really makes me want to root for them and wish everything works out. They simply met each other too late in life.
Agreed. Just can't agree with someone cheating on a loved one, feels so wrong. No matter what the circumstances…
I agree that infidelity is wrong and the entire time I've been watching I've constantly thought, "Please break up with your girlfriend/boyfriend already." And honestly I started this drama expecting a much more scandalous relationship but so far it's actually been quite decent (compared to other things I've seen) with a lot of raw emotions from the male lead who falls for her first. But yes you're right – the problem lies in the female lead's inability to just accept her feelings and FIRMLY make the decision to break it off with her boyfriend.
ive only watched clips of this on youtube (dunno if i can commit to another 40 episode cdrama lol) but considering they made it into a bromance its still hella gay in all its subtlety (the actors did great! their eyes spoke the hidden truth hehe) and i love (and am kinda surprised) that they didnt cleanly hide that despite all the restrictions in china. thus i feel that this show is quite a rare one :)
watching this is like finding something i didnt know i needed. even tho it shows an smth like an 'affair' there are such pure feelings. does anyone know any similar dramas with forbidden romances?
i think you should hide your comment under spoiler tag.. but i guess it doesn't matter since it kinda follows…
ikr! after i found out it was based on real events i went on wiki and traced everything together which made the drama seem even more fascinating to me .
(also the ending song sounds so good at 1.25x speed y'all should try it!)
me after watching this: holy shjt
