This was such a beautiful and heartwarming story, I really enjoyed this drama. I havenβt watched that many jdramas…
Could I recomend you Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flower) ^^ it also a really beautiful, powerful love story drama. It's an old drama from 2005 (season 1), 2007 (season 2), 2008 (movie). And the premise might be weird/too cliche but trust me, it's really good XD
If I do not like the korean version would I like it? Its mostly cuz the FL is annoyinh there
I feel you, I kinda annoyed by FL in korean version. But here the FL is so sweet, kind, and hardworking from the start! I think you should try watching this version even if you don't like the korean version ^^
This adaptation is overwhelming! I didn't even notice any filler scene. it is so focused. I thought at first,…
May I introduce you to the ML? XD He is Nakajima Kento, beside an actor he is also an idol. In fact his group is the one who sing the ending song of this drama. The song title is Natsu no Hydrangea by Sexy Zone πΉ https://youtu.be/_a6SXtlEQB0
She does mention that's maybe why she got mouth ulcers and was depressed about it during filming and Kento bought…
LOL you can see the glimpse of his real self on @k.n_sosuke.hasebe it's his ig account for promoting this drama. Oh if you didn't know yet, he also sing the ending song for this drama, the song title is Natsu no Hydrangea.
Yes! I also love that scene! He really nails that desperation expression. Oh that's so great that this is your first Jdrama! XD

As a fan of Nakajima Kento I can say that he really toned down his "sexy" and "extra" gesture XD Yes he normally walks like that, in fact he toned it down XD He really does a great job in this drama tho! He has improved so much, I'm so proud of him :")
I want to watch this first and then the japanese one after that. But is the pacing really that bad in this version? I'm not used to Kdrama slow pace...
Everybody has their own preferences. Yeah, I can see the glaring difference when it comes to cinematography. But…
Yeah I agree the biggest reason why most ppl prefer Kdrama is because of good looking actor/actrees. I wouldn't say Kdrama has better cinematography, but it has better visual.
I'm so late to a post in 2016 and I'm commenting in 2021. I only start to watch Jdrama in 2020 and start to watch some Kdrama too now. So it just really baffle me on what people said about Jdrama... For good looking actor/actrees, yes. The actor/actrees looks like model who just got of the runaway. Yes even if they supposed to be poor or middle class... And yea the filter make them even more gorgeous. Kdrama also tend to be more dramatic and has more sense of escapism. Especially on materialistic side. But it just baffle me on how people said Japanese actor/actrees can't act?! And their acting are weird and overreacting? LOL aren't Kdrama acting also overeacting too or are we watching different Kdrama? π I'm so confused when people said Japanese actor/actrees have poor acting skill cuz for me what makes me love Jdrama is cuz their actor/actrees act so GOOD! They have fewer line, fewer screentime so they had to make their acting on point to get the emotions across. I find Kdrama talk alot and give explanation more than Jdrama, they deliver the emotions thru their lines whereas Jdrama thru their acting.
As for romance. Hands down Jdrama owns it for me. Yes suprise. I don't find Kdrama as romantic as Jdrama. I think it's connected to what korean and japanese see as romantic. For japanase fiction the idea of destined together (unmei no hito) is what romantic. And for me that idea is so damn romantic. Kdrama tends to focus more to love triangle and I hate love triangle....
Also cinematography... Yes. I'm also bafled why people said Jdrama doesn't have good cinematography? As for me who enjoys even films from the 80s cinematography has nothing to do with spectacular views with 1440p quality. Cinematography supposed to help to tell the story. Jdrama maybe doesn't have that spectacular views with 1440p, but their cinematography are really on point to get the mood and emotions across. I even find Hana Yori Dango 2005 have better cinematography than it's korean counterpart Boys Over Flower 2009.
What's hard about Jdrama is their access and also Jdrama had ALOT of variety. For example, I like romance Jdrama but it's hard for me to find that specific type of romance that I like. Like I love Hana Yori Dango but I dislike Koi wa Tsuzuku Doko Made Mo, which both are really popular romance drama. It's hard to find drama that hooks you. But once you find that one drama that hooks you, you're hooked for life π
I watched Jimi ni Sugoi! The main female lead, Kono Etsuko was strong, fashionable and straightforward. She was…
Yes, yes please do. You won't regret it! ^^ I also surprised on how good She Was Pretty japanese version, I only watch it cuz of Kento Nakajima but turns out it SO GOOD. I think jp ver is so romantic, alot more realistic and heartfelt.
Oh also the coworkers in Japanese version are also so nice! They really build a nice working enviroment. I really like Okajima-san (Ms. Cha in kr version). They also cover each other and really working as a team. They also protect and support FL everytime FL makes misteakes at work
