Why is he usually paired with someone way less attractive than he is? They're even doing it now in My Stand-in. Makes the relationship really hard to believe.
I hope that there is something in the uncut version that helps this series make some sense. Letting a blackmailer win is no way to end a story. I hope that this is just a cliffhanger, what else would explain the terrible ending. I know that evil sometimes wins, but why even tell such a story??? How did they sell this plotline to investors? What next, Putin rules the world or the CCP takes over Asia??? Oh, who wouldn't want to see that?
Plus, I had no idea that S Korea was still this backward. Not hiring someone because they're gay, or even rumored to be, I didn't even worry about that in the US thirty years ago. How very sad.
I cannot believe how much bangs down to your eyeballs really ruins someone's looks (looks like they are wearing a hat or maybe a helmet). They usually do this hairdo in BL's to make people look younger or less sophisticated. These guys were both so attractive in the first 10 episodes. At the beginning of the Special Episodes it makes them both look ridiculous (I haven't watched to the end yet). Bangs don't look good on anyone, not even Taylor Swift.
They finally decide to do a sequel and they don't do one for their monster hit KinnPorshe they do it for some lame period piece that even bombed on Netflix. What is BOC thinking? Maybe the actors don't want to do BL again?
The Japanese can make some of the sweetest and most moving BL's. They are right up there with Taiwan when it comes to the quality of their BL's. Both countries just need to make more of them.
It says Coming Soon, does anyone know when that is? You all sound like they haven't even started filming yet, but the trailer makes it look pretty far along. Has anyone heard a specific date? Looks like it will be another great rom-com from GMM. Can't wait!
I did enjoy this series. Seemed like a bunch of newbies, but I could feel their affection for each other.
I do have a question or two though. Why do so few Thai series ever show partial nudity or simulated sex? Why are series like Playboyy and this one doing it, when others don't? Are some produced for mainstream TV? Don't they have pay sites like Max and Netflix where sex can be shown, to a certain degree? I did find it refreshing that this series showed some cute sex scenes and some naked butts in the sauna.
Made it seem less sanitized than usual, but not as dark as some of the Western shows that feature violence and coercion in their sex scenes.
This plot line has already been done, and the title has already been used for a personal bodyguard BL series. Can't GMMTV come up with something more original, with all their resources??? I do like their lead actors though, they just need better material.
It took me a while to realize that these are the guys from Naughty Babe (I am slow). I don't remember there being such a big size difference between the two actors. Either Thai is huge or Khram is a played by a fifteen year old???
I was surprised to see so many NC scenes in a Thai BL. Usually they are rated PG at worst. I found it a refreshing change, and wish some more producers would add some NC scenes (with better scripts) There doesn't have to be a lot with adult content, but there is a niche audience out there for it..
The more I hear about the CPP the more I fear for the future of the PRC itself. Millions of people will suffer because their current leader wants to be Mao 2.0. Kinda like the hope Russia had in the nineties and the Stalin 2.0 they have now wth Putin. Those poor, poor people, trapped in their own countries while hoping for a better life. All we can do is pray for a better world, while fighting for democracy here at home and abroad.
