-Need to make profits after the show‼️Magazine/ other merch. Now the numbers don’t look good but improved....This!!!…
I think they just need to reach out to the civilized world and leave backward countries like China out of it. It's like wondering why Russian or N Koreans don't like it. Not their core audience. Language barrier or not.
The CCP has made a point of criticizing anything even slightly gay. They are determined to stamp out "sissy men" from their culture. They even blur out earrings if a man is wearing them. I feel so bad for the people of China, forced to live with such a twisted and oppressive governing regime. It even affects their thought patterns and makes them hate without even thinking. Taiwan has proven that that kind of thinking is not endemic to the ethnic Chinese and can be overcome,
It’s doesn’t mean anything . Only very very very few Taiwanese bls like 2 or 3 have a 2nd season . How many…
I thought that maybe because the series was set in 2012, that there could be a season 2. They meet each other again as adults this time. There are so many ways to go with that and it could be very interesting. I do have to agree though, most BL's don't get a second season. Hopefully this series will be an exception.
I'm curious.A lot of comments in social media say that there is probable that eric won't be in season 2 because…
I had no idea that the Taiwanese were placing ads for their BL's in the PRC. Xi must be losing his touch. Or... maybe it's because there is no sex and very little romantic affection shown in this series.
Thailand is now making series with good story it's obviously different from taiwanese stories and I'm glad it…
I did see Century of Love. I thought it was great, especially because the leads were both pop stars too. I really liked the music as well. I see what you mean about the difference in focus depending on the country. Shows like Manner of Death, Only Friends and I Feel You Linger in the Air were all great to watch, but very different from each other.
I know that some of the larger Thai studios make many dramas aimed at the the young fangirls. They are a very large part of the audience. That must be why some of their BL's seem so sanitized. They are in the business to make money, so they must make many different kinds of BL's to appeal to many different audiences. Hopefully that diversity will keep BL's as popular as they have been for the last 10 years.

Most Taiwanese series are not like the others. I don't really see any patterns emerging. This is unlike the Thais who do a lot of high school and college dramedies where every male in the cast ends up being gay. I like the fantasy world of BL's,but that's a bit too much. I do appreciate that Thailand produces so many BL's and some are incredible (KP, The Promise, Bad Buddies). I hope with SSM now becoming legal there that they will make many shows with that as a major plot point.
I don't know how the Taiwanese do it. They keep coming up with these incredible stories and putting other countries to shame (yes, I mean you Thailand).
This series has moved me in so many ways that I had not even expected. The acting, the writing, the cast, the sets, everything just works so perfectly. The only flaw that I can see is the age of the actors. None of them look 17 to me, but many series have to do this to get seasoned actors. For all I know they could all be 17 and I am just too old to tell anymore. I truly hope that there will be a second season, these boys have so much more of life to go through. Plus, they are in Taiwan, so they might even end up getting married. Too cool.
I really wanted to like this series, but I just couldn't. The sex scenes were a refreshing change from the usual BL product, but they were very poorly lit. And not in some moody, erotic way either. The rest of the series just went to too many places. In the end I couldn't tell who was really alive and who was not.
I keep having high hopes for BOC after the success that was KP, but they just keep disappointing. And now that I have seen how badly the two authors of KP treated the actors on set, I know there will never be a sequel. Maybe BOC will actually find a good product to produce in the future. Here's hoping.
i hope so, i realy like this kind of story. because it is twisted and unpredictable. it is a nice alternative…
I guess that BL's really have gotten so popular that they deserve many niche sub-genres. This is a good way to keep the BL industry going.
I like a good mystery, but murder and mayhem has already been overdone in the West. I guess I will have to screen better before I start watching these BL's. To each his/her own.
Freshman orientation at college? How many times have we seen this? Do the Thais not know how cliched so many of their series have become? I wish Taiwan and Japan would start producing more BL's or that some of these Thai companies would give us more decent BL's like Kinn/Porsche, The Promise, Manner of Death or Bad Buddies. I know the fangirls love these HS and college romps, but how long before even they get bored???
I have tried to watch episode six tonight. I kept thinking that they put me back to ep 1. So, as far as I can gather from all these comments. BOC (which has only produced one decent series so far), had us sit through the first five parts of an eight part series, to show us a four minute fever dream??? And now we are to believe in this new story from hell??? I thought that DFF was bad and twisted, is this going to be BOC's new niche??? And why in the f... are all the sex scenes filmed in such total darkness? I had such high hopes for this series, and it has turned into a total crapfest, so far.
I was surprised to see Park and Big do cameos on the finale of Knock Knock Boys. I have seen them do cross promotions in Taiwan a few times, and it does make sense. It is a good way to introduce your next series and to use the same college setting in both series.
