The Chinese have produced some great BL-ype series. Some were taken off the air early, some were never allowed to show so much as a single SS kiss. I do remember trying to watch this series before, but knowing that it was from China I wondered why I even tried . So what is unique about this re-release/extension of the series? Has the CCP gone mad and decided China could survive the attack of the "sissy men"? Won't this affect their declining birth rate?
I don't know how anyone can say we are supporting the Chinese BL industry if everything they make has to be censored after the fact (before any kind of release)? I love the shows, but nothing short of a new dear leader or a revolution will change Xi's mind. What a total ass-hat he is. Makes Trump look like a flaming liberal by comparison.
I feel most sorry for the people of China. They don't deserve to have their fortunes reversed by someone who thinks he is the next Mao.
Until recently I did not realize that S Korea was still so backward when it comes to LGBT issues. I thought that that was mainly in the PRC or Malaysia or other backwaters of freedom. SK seems so modern with all its great cars, electronics and skyscrapers. People tend to forget that even in a free society, tradition can slow progress on so many issues
Looks like Japan is heading in the right direction regarding SSM. Even the polls there show public approval of SSM at least. Seems that SK is far behind it's neighbors when it comes to acceptance of gays in society Watching some of the scenes in this series takes me back to how most of the USA was 50 years ago. Now that attitude seems to be prevalent mostly in the red states. I guess that next week's election will let us know where we are headed.
Taiwan usually only produces a high quality product. These poor folks (no pun intended) must have not been able to find the funding to do what they really wanted to do.
This series really cries out for a second season. It has been five years now, does anyone know if the folks in Taiwan are doing anything about it? I know that they are always bringing in cameo appearances of characters from their other shows, why not get these folks back together again (minus the sister thing)???
They were MLs in Love in Translation before COL. Daou was 1st place and Offroad was 2nd place winner of LaZ Icon…
There is something about that full banged (bowl) haircut that makes everyone look less attractive. It looks like they're wearing either a hat or a helmet. No one should cover up their eyebrows with hair. At least give it a part. Daou looks so ordinary in LIT with that cut.
What a great series. It is even better the second time you watch it. Kudos to the team that put this all together. The actors were also very good, and perfectly cast.
How could Jeff Satur do this to us?. He is so multi-talented, and now has his own studio, so hopefully he is not just baiting us with these trailers/clips? We all love you Jeff and Barcode, please don't disappoint us.
I can't believe how much difference a haircut can make. I've seen Daou in some of his music videos, with longer hair. He doesn't really stand out much. But, when he cut his hair short, you realize just how handsome he really is. I hope he keeps the shorter hair for this new series. Were these two major pop stars in Thailand before they did COL? What a talented duo.
It is October. Does anyone know where to find this thing? Plus, I read that the studio posted that this will no longer be a KBL, but instead, just a regular series. So maybe we are just being baited?
