So the storyline is a little weak but I feel it was a decent start. And we all agree that Oab was attracted to…
I still can't believe that they made the guy from the first scene the love interest. The chef is WAY out of his league. Is it too much to ask to have two handsome leading men, not one plus a dork???
I thought that it was boring and over the top. Evil, mean chef suddenly has eyes for some doofus? A bit of a stretch. And why does said doofus have his hair cut like a 12 year old? Bangs don't work for anybody. But, as you know, I'm not critical.
I have never seen two BL lead actors so willing to go the distance in a love scene. Sucking digits, using their tongues to devour each other. Either they are very good actors, who could teach their Thai BL brethren a thing or two, or they really like each other. Their love scenes are more like real life for new lovers. I'm only half way through the episode, and wow, sweet.
I have been waiting for this series for months. I loved these two in Big Dragon and now, wow, this first episode was grea!. Way more than I was expecting. I was surprised it was not available in N America though. Thank God for VPN.
I hope they keep up the gay positivity and the quality that I saw today.
I'm reluctant to start this after the torture that was crazy handsome rich, but it seems this one is better? I…
I couldn't agree more. While the two leads are nice eye candy, after their last series was so awful it is hard to get interested. Every time I see the guy with the bowl haircut I just cringe. I will hope for the best in future episodes (with limited hissing scenes).
After the fourth episode, I was ready to give up on this series. I only watched the first four because I could not believe that BOC would do an amateur production (after an epic like KP) Then I got to the fifth episode and started to see the back story. Then I saw Barcode for the first time and knew that BOC wouldn't waste one of their phenoms on a crap fest. It shows some very uncomfortable bullying (not like Vegas in KP), but still enough to make the viewer want to bitch slap some of the mean characters. It was a well played horror story, I can see why people like it, It is so different from most BL's. It did have a lot of blood and screaming, always a must for a horror series. I hope they don't make a sequel. I know that Barcode finally left BOC after his BFF Jeff Satur did. I hear the two of them have a new BL coming out this year, Wuju Bakery.
I finally made my way through the last few episodes. I enjoyed the first half of the series, it was refreshing to see NC scenes like you would see in the West. Once it started only being plot driven, and then that plot went (very slowly) everywhere, I lost interest. I hope that there is no 2nd season, unless they get better writers.
The older guy from You Are Mine looks terrible with that helmet hair, Isn't that something kids wear, not businessmen. Really ruins his looks. The older guy from VIP looks like a different person. How can facial hair change your looks so much? I do agree that both series' special episodes were not worth the time. I don't mind some fluff but these episodes really worth watching.
I love these light-hearted comedies from Mandee. They are always silly but always give you a nice rom-com feel. I wouldn't want all my BL's to be this light, but is a refreshing change from some of the more action-packed and violent BL's out there.
SOTUS, Hello Stranger and Gameboys were the first 3 BL series I ever watched. I was most impressed by the second two because of their sweet and innocent plotlines. SOTUS seemed to take forever and I always wondered what the freshman student saw in his cruel senior. To this day I don't find that actor very convincing in BL's or MV's (the older one). I can't wait to watch Hello Stranger again on Gaga at the end of this month!
Because where’d you find anyone as gorgeous as he is? You might as well not even try.
There must be something that we're not seeing? Weak chins and flabby bodies aren't a hot commodity in the West. The way they wrote Ming's character makes him even less attractive. Would someone please slap him (he is so mean)???
You need to read the code words. Rom-coms can be gay or straight. When Apo talks, he mentions their characters being lovey-dovey. Would you describe their characters in KP as lovey-dovey??? No way they are going to take any series based on Man Suang into a BL. Sad, because MileApo would not have any of their fame and fortune without KP. They seem to be turning their backs on BL. That's what I sense, for what it's worth.
I hope they keep up the gay positivity and the quality that I saw today.
