The scene where the young prince realizes that the man he has loved all his life is now bowing down to him, unwilling to call him his son anymore. The raw pain in that boy's face was hard to witness.
BOC has a history of high production values with the likes of Kinn/Porsche and Man Suang. One look at this thing and it seems like a set from a local high school. What were they thinking putting out something this lame???
Don't get me started on Mile. Why would someone who had been doing so many high-end endorsements and usually has a reputation as a class act want to be in this turkey? Plus, he is starting to look old and tired, just since KP in April of 2022.
Bible should know better too, Maybe they were both contractually obligated to do this film So sad for them and their reputations if that is true. I def plan NOT to watch. The trailer was hard enough to sit through. Geesh...
I hope that Shine can at least turn into a hit, and is actually a BL, not a boring period piece like Man Suang. Double geesh...
I wish you would watch it and decide for yourself what kind of love it was portrayed. You'll probably be surprised…
While I am sure it is a wonderful story, it does not belong in the BL universe. Great movie, wrong genre.
Remakes are often done to improve on the original. The 1993 film, the Wedding Banquet, was just remade this year and the story was greatly improved and the plot changed. It's not like they are doing a sound remake of a silent film. That at least makes some sense.
What is the point of a remake if you don't change anything? What exactly are the producers spending their money on? Maybe one day AI will let these folks just clone old movies with new faces. What a waste of time that would be. Much like an exact remake today.
It's too bad they could not have made it into a BL. Twenty years ago a bromance was not that uncommon. However, the gay audience was always left saying "I know they really want each other". That got very old, very fast.
Since the age of BL's began I have seen fewer and fewer bromances being made (so gays do not have to "wish" a series into an actual love story). Seeing them make a great series (I've heard) and waste it on another "wish" series is now very frustrating. I haven't watched it because I don't want to feel that time has gone backwards. We get enough of that feeling in the US living through the nightmare that is Trump.
They should really just keep this series in its own lane. Gays of a certain age don't want to go back to wishing on a bromance again when BL's are so readily (and well) made today.
I hope this is not another one of those trailers that looks a little racy and then when you get to the actual series it is Disney or Hallmark all the way. I'm still waiting to see what My Stubborn will be like. The first trailer was pretty racy (for a BL), but the second trailer looked G rated.
I eventually started to like this series. It took ma a while because the whole story seemed so improbable. But, I did a believer by the 5th episode. Such great character development and an interesting storyline. It certainly was not your typical BL. Leave it to the Japanese to make such a unique and compelling story.
The other thing I really liked was the eye candy. Both Fujisawa and Hagiwara were both so classically handsome. Certainly makes a man more interesting, doesn't it (yes, I am that shallow). I highly recommend this series to the thinking public (yes, I am that deep).
I thoroughly enjoyed this show as well; however, I believe a rating of 7.4 is fair. Given its relatively low budget…
Secret Relationships really surprised me. I started out just thinking that it was a well produced K BL only to be drawn in by the story itself. What an incredible series.
That is about a straight guy though, is this version going to have the lead character be straight as well?
Why bother doing a Thai remake if you aren't going to make it more BL. I can only hope that they don't try to advertise it as a BL, that will disappoint a lot of folks when they watch it.
Interested.I usually don't pay much attention to pairings but I like EarthMix a lot. Ossan's Love wasn't for me…
I agree totally about EarthMix, I saw that they wanted to stretch their acting abilities and play in a farce. Good for them, but not my cup of tea. I have never seen Earth be anything but sexy before, so this was a shock.
I hope that with Only Friends that they will get back to their roots of doing quality material that really shows off their talent. And maybe their roles will really move people, like they did in Tales and Moonlight.

I was surprised to see so many pairings, boing back so far. Especially with all the young actors who want to get into the BL business.
