If I remember correctly, most hippies had no style to their hair. They just grew it long, and that was about it. Yes, it was an ugly time by the time the seventies hit.

I had heard that but I was so hoping that it wasn't true. You don't usually think of military dictatorships as welcoming tourists and SSM.
With the recent skirmishes with Cambodia, it doesn't look like the govt will change much, at least not any time soon. Of course, the US is changing into an authoritarian regime right now. I guess it doesn't take much to get even a long-term democracy to collapse.
As a huge David Bowie and New York Dolls fan, I don't use girly as a pejorative. It just doesn't work here. He's not playing David Johansen or Holly Woodlawn.
I lived through the sixties. Even Jim Morrison never wore his hair like that. It was long, like Robert Plant's, but it never covered his face like that. Of course I am old now, and memories fade, but Mile could look so much better without the distracting hairdo..
I posted this on twitter too, but I'll be grateful is someone helps me here, I really want to fully understand…
I know that the US Air Force was stationed on many Thai air bases from 1961 to 1975. That would explain the strong American influence that we see. As for the protests, I assume that some local farmers did not want their land confiscated for a power plant, even though the army already owned the land. Basically sounds like a typical sixties protest, "power to the people" thing. But I think there are some dark twists in there that haven't been revealed yet.
Remember that Thailand was a military dictatorship in 1969, so not many freedoms were guaranteed. Should be interesting to watch.
I just finished watching the first episode, and I really don't know what to make of this thing yet. It is very well made, the production values are incredible. The cast and the acting are stellar too. I can't quite follow the whole story yet, but I hope they start to emphasize the BL storyline more.
I don't know if that is even their intent (to be a BL). Apo has never looked better, and Mile finally gets to play the guitar rocker he always wanted to be. Too bad that hair seems to get in the way. He looks like a funky ingenue. I hope it is a wig, but I know that he likes his hair long.
Can't wait for the next episode. This series certainly shines above the rest (pun intended).
That hair does not work for him. No man wore his hair that girly in a 60's rock band. He looks ridiculous, and he is a seriously attractive man in real life. Apo sure looks great though, hubba hubba.
This one looks pretty interesting. If only it was set in 2025, they could try bringing in an SSM element, letting the two men marry and having each father a child through a surrogate. That's yet another way to bring the families together.
Idk I treat this series like some kind of a joke, the grandpa thing being just the cherry on top - this acting,…
I totally agree, but I have only watched the first episode. I hope it gets better. Taiwan has a pretty good track record of making quality BL's. I seem to recognize the face of the blond actor. Has he been in other BL's?
have you watched semantic error? if not u should it is really good in my opinion π
Would you happen to remember the name of the KBL where two college boys fall in love (rare indeed). One is new to the school and works in the library. The other is a tall jock-type who does Tae Kwon Do. The jock is very shy and has few friends, but seems to really like the librarian. He is also very sweet.

Thanks for letting us know.
