Bogum is gaining praise left and right from critics and journalists for perfectly portray dongju both his funny and intense sides. His comedic timing is perfect, his comic acting is also very good, and his angsty performance is just mind blowing. This is his first action and comedy project but he nails it so incredibly well.
Anyone who hates dongju after watching ep 6 is just hating for no reason. Like, idk after seeing the end of ep 6, I expected people to understand him more.

He is emotionally driven indeed because he has a lot of rage inside him, everyone who has watched ep 6 should understand this. plus he has punch-drunk syndrome that cause violence tendencies too. And if you read his character description, he is written as someone who use his fist to find justice. Dongju is behaving like how he is meant to be.

Well, I agree on you for this. But at times when he’s really focus, he ignored her altogether, not even noticing her presence. His character is not a complete fool in love. He’s still able to put her aside when he’s dealing with something more important
People hating on Dongju’s character? I understand. But not if they have watched Ep 6. His background story explains why he is the way he is. His life is so rough since childhood, his father was abusive, his mother died because of it. He witnessed it all. And that explains his impulsive personality and his hunger for justice. The sorrowful life also makes him being overly cheerful, a coping mechanism to still being able to live his life and not going insane. Also all his life he saw his father beating up his mom, so no wonder he wants justice more than anything. Next episode will have so much angst. Dongju will lose the sunshine inside him and it will make the episode as depressing as ever. But I’m all here for it.
Dongju being clingy to hanna is actually make sense. He's clingy to literally everyone around him. He's a guy full of affection and a great sense of justice. When he's facing the bad guy, the boxer in him kicks in. But when he's not, he's a soft marshmallow that melts around his loved ones. Bogum portrays this contrast amazingly. Altho I kinda agree, I want dongju to stop being like a lovesick puppy around hanna.
Park Bogum really ate this role. Wow he is just so charismatic. how does he ate all the emotional scenes, the romance, the action, even his comedic timing is perfect. I want to know more about Dongju's background and his past. Not really looking forward to the romance tho. Getting so fed up with love triangle all over again.
Episode 1 was so strong. it was 90 minutes long but I barely feel time time passing. Ep 2 is calmer but still engaging. Park Bogum really shows his range here. He did all the emotions to perfection. I'm more curious about Dongju's background story than the romance. Hopefully next episode do better all around.

No, he filmed Good Boy starting on March 2024, 2 months after WLGYT wrapped up. In fact, during wlgyt, he had a few month free from filming when IU shoot for the daughter part. But he also had one month extra filming from December to January when IU had finished her part. So I'm curious if he'll get extra screentime himself.
