'Stalking' might be too harsh but I think JQF crosses the line when she 'likes' one of Rebecca's posts. She does that, IMO, to get in a 'dig' at Rebecca. If your intent is to 'peek' at someone's life, usually you want to do that without the person knowing.
I agree, I didn't see much affection between JQF and HRZ. But did JQF really 'step up' to help with HRZ's mom? Or 'insert' herself into the situation? She found out about HRZ's mom because she answered Rebecca's phone. I think that, without permission, you don't answer another person's phone.
Obviously JQF has set my back up. : )
I can't decide if HRZ recognised Rebecca in the park or not? He was directly looking at her but she was wearing a helmet and it was dark?
The clothes rod is just one difficulty along with her landlord wanting to evict her, no pension, eating alone... And then you see her assistant, YXL even the waiter disparage her for her lonely life.
Yup, we need to see more about what transpired in the past.
Such an interesting drama taken from both women's perspectives. Enjoying.
I can't like Jian Qing Fen. She clearly takes every opportunity to undermine Rebecca to He Rui Zhi. Now when her life feels flat, she stalks her again.
For me, the broken clothes rod is such a strong visual metaphor of how Rebecca has to face difficulties alone while Qing Fen has a helpful partner. It's so unfair.
I wanted to help, episode 2 lasts for 52 minutes. I watched it on Dr*m*c**l... I can't find the scene you were…
Hi Thanks. Timestamp at 40 minute. I think it's a text from her assistant - maybe not that important. But they did show it. This site is best to watch with: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8whoey
The first two episodes were so good! I can't tell if Qing Fen is a psycho yet or not but I'm team Rebecca. The…
Felt the same!! Qing Fen is pretty empty inside if she has to rely on competition with Rebecca to give herself purpose. I have a bad feeling about where this might be heading as there was already the dreaded 'health check' mentioned in episode 2 and the promo photos show Rebecca with shorn hair. I really hope that Rebecca can find happiness. Her last words in episode 2, after she was knocked down, were so poignant. She's such a well drawn character.
Finished episode 9 and really enjoying this dram. The ML is a cutie but for me its the FL that is making this show so watchable and relatable. Her character is very modern, self reliant and smart. Even though the plot is very tropey, nothing feels forced.
I've finished episode 10. This is a very easy watch. I just wish the story was meatier. The FL never is fazed by any obstacle. Maybe that will happen in the future? But it's just a little boring. In RL, the most successful people often face periods where they fail and lose confidence. That makes their success all the more impressive.
