I like TSY but I often find myself struggling to believe in her as a romantic lead. Her romantic relationships always seem more platonic than romantic. I'd like to she her inject a bit of sexiness into her characters. She's dating Yichan for 4 years and they never even touch lips - only hug.
She had the best chemistry with Eric. Writer just messed up the beautiful chemistry 😞
I agree. The storyline and chemistry between those two was so authentic, modern and natural. I wish the drama had just been about them. I was not familiar with Peng Guan Ying. I think he's an amazing actor.

This is why I am having such a problem with this series. It's like there are two different Rosies. The Rosie with ZGD is so dynamic and then she becomes the opposite with FXW. It makes no sense to me.

I think Rosie sent a lot of mixed messages. Just before she surprises him in Paris, she says to her boss that love is more important than her career. And then the way she just left him - without a word - totally unacceptable to me. If that had been done by a male character, it would not be acceptable to the female watching audience and he would have been slammed. She leaves and he doesn't even know what happened to her! To not have basic human decency to say goodbye. Why not tell ZDG why she is leaving? Again, why is she given so much leeway in her actions that would not be accepted if done by a male character? Considering they had barely been dating, it was OTT for her to trash his apartment. Now if the fiancee who was dumped at the alter by her boyfriend of 7 years (in episode 1) had trashed their apartment, that would have made sense.
I understand where ZDG is coming from. He grew up in a toxic household where his father was constantly emasculated and ZDG was told by his mother that he would never amount to anything if he was like his father. So career is important to him to prove his worth to his mother. He seemed willing to do his best by Rosie. I think she was just as lacking as him.

I think you are 100% correct about ZGD. IMO he is a decent person. The problem was that HYM was too immature to actually consider his perspective. Part of being in a relationship, is supporting the other person. She grew up spoiled and indulged and never really had to think about other people. She was always placed first. She was so careless of the fiancee's feelings in the first episode. And yet when she has a hiccup in her month's old relationship, she trashes ZGD's apartment. If she were my 21 year-old son's girlfriend, I would tell him to dump the psycho. I think ZGD truly loved her. He was always responding to her needs for respect, recognition and commitment - meeting her brother, promising to introduce her to his father, introducing her as his girlfriend, giving her keys to his apartment...
I actually loved the interactions the brother had with Guan Zhi Zhi [Shi Hui's fiancée]. I would have liked to…
The brother's interactions with the chemist blind date are painful to watch. He's working so hard, putting in so much effort and getting nothing back. Why does he even want to continue seeing her?
I really like the acting of Peng Guan Ying. I just finished ep 4 too.
You know. I did start to watch that drama when it first aired but for some reason dropped it. I think the storyline didn't grip me but maybe I'll go back and give it another chance.
Have only watched 4 ep. so far and I'm hooked. Still not fully on board with the character of Yi Mei. At times…
I actually loved the interactions the brother had with Guan Zhi Zhi [Shi Hui's fiancée]. I would have liked to see them get together. She just had a lot of presence and energy to her performance. When she was in a scene, you paid attention to her.
This drama has so many plot lines that we've seen before and yet somehow they're keeping it fresh. The pacing of each episode is very good. I haven't fast forwarded through any scene. I think the dialogue is another big factor that is setting this drama apart from so many others. The FL also deserves more praise. The intelligence and pathos she brings to her role is what has me emotionally engaged.
I watched the first two episodes on Viki. It's light and fluffy and the characters are likeable. Not sure if they can get 24 episodes out if it? But the first episodes did make me giggle at some of their antics.
I don't think that any one has yet mentioned that He Rui Xian is TSY's best friend again as she was in Go Ahead?
