I cant help laughing over ur 0.1 score. I watched Mysterious Love and put it on hold. I kept feeling theres sth wrong with it that i couldnt pinpoint until you use this word to describe it: pretentious. Im gonna go n relocate it to Drop. Ive considered watching Hot Stove League after many ppl who watched Racket Boys says this one is better. I agree with most that you mention except Move to heaven because I really connected with it for the large part cause of my super softspot for Han Geu Ru. Unexpected angle in your article. I click not because of Edward & Bella but cause of Secrets of the lattice. The former was a phenomena such that non fans like me knew it existed but was not converted aft watching 30mins of the first movie, have not watched the rest and did not read the novel. Secrets of the lattice novel version was a mixed bag with some gd changes when they adapt to drama. The drama version worked because Chen Zhe Yuan and Rainbow added their own interpretation into the characters and made it theirs. In the process this DX-ZSY's story gained a lot of love, mine included.

Well interesting that there's alot of theories developing among the masses about Season2's storyline so that itself shows they are peeps who are interested. I dropped S1 by the 10th episode and was sad it didn't deliver. I wouldn't have expected this to have several seasons and I too generally prefer 1 off dramas with no sequel. The one i wanted a season 2 was Move to Heaven. Anyway I still click when I saw the article title which means likely I won't write this off until we see full cast and if the storyline in Japanese colonial era would be more engaging?

Omg literally your first novel is my favorite. Its one that was so well translated and one that i cried evytime I read it. But because its so good it needs to be fatefully adapted to screen. Would make a really good xianxia drama.
Another novel but a really short one called Our Second Master is another one that I love. The ML had a horrible attitude in the beginning, almost like an antagonist. But many things happen and he change. The middle to last bit made me cry alot.

I wasnt sure if i wanna watch until your article came along. I thk its a good role for AHS, widen his repertoire. We know KYJ can deliver such roles and I think we can expect her to deliver beyond the expected. Im nt sure on the red eyes though. Might b distracting for peeps who likes to look at eye expressions.

Actually to compare. In both lives familyname was a major thingy and ML had to fulfill his responsibilities.. But part2 is way better because he can choose who he wants to be with. And bcz Shiyi retains her memories, she knows how it feels to lose the person u love so she values this life with him

Some peeps say Allen Ren's real voice, tone and enunciation does not suit historical setting. He has been dubbed in all of his historical dramas

Thanks for the list and I enjoy the 2 person commentary! Some dramas are finally airing, the wait is excruciatingly long for some. For me, I find myself being surprised time after time by underrated ones and dramas I didnt hear about until its airing. This year alone quite a few turned out to be really good watch.

While watching Our Secret, i keep thinking why is he so familiar. Turns out he appeared in Little Forest with Nicky Wu, Steven Zhang and Seven Tan.
