She is excellent here. She is portraying a charming, but inexperienced person, who learned how to be a hard worker…
From what I remember, it seems like two people had similar ideas. However, I cannot tell you who's right. So, probably, the accuser may not have had much grounds for sueing. I discovered Lost Romance by sheer accident, some months after it had finished airing. It is a highly entertaining parody of the trashiest of lowbrow romance novels out there. The FL does some pretty wild stuff due to reasons, hehe. Taiwanese dramas can be amazing when done right. The ML in SOM used to be a neurosurgeon...? China sure loves its geniuses. *sigh*
Ep 13 is quite weak ngl but it's mainly because the ep 13 preview had too many important spoilery scenes so there…
Tbh, it's been ages since I came across amnesia in KDramas. Plus, the recreations were so hilarious! So, I didn't feel bothered. Especially the one where Da Rim has to stand on a stool to recreate their moment when they were being chased by the loan sharks. This drama also helped me realise that AEJ is really tall. She is wearing flats or short heels while opposite JKY of all people!
Tbh, the drama makers dropped the ball on Seon U's story. For once, I think a drama could have benefited from more episodes. Then, Seon U's past and the ending itself could have been more fleshed out. Ahh, the miss opportunities!
but didn't that have a lot to do with the story, because he had to believe she was married? When he found out…
Exactly my point! The poor guy could sense something was amiss, but he had already regressed to his default mode, i.e., detachment and indifference. The recreations had no context and now I am beginning to think he fell for Da Rim because it was specifically her. Their first meeting was important to understand why he was moved by her kindness during their argument. It helped establish that her kindness was a habit and not an exception.
True. Even if the amnesia arc was ridiculous, I was actually okay with it because I thought finally, at least…
Even though I loved DK and know I would be re-watching my favourite bits in the future, however, I do admit the writing, and thus, the story beats could have been better especially through episodes 12 to 14. P. S.: For some reason, I can't view your first comment to me. Can you please write it here again?
For everyone being annoyed at Da Rim for not chasing Ji Hyeok down during the one year that they were separated.
If you watch the scene when they run into each other at Jeju in episode 14, he says something to the effect of why was she following him and that he'd told her he would get the police involved the next time she does so. He also said, his head was starting to hurt again. It seems she had made a few last ditch attempts to meet him and help him remember. Some run-ins may also have been purely coincidental. However, it seems that she'd realised it would be in his best interest if she let him go. Given how Da Rim is very protective of her loved ones, it's not a surprise that she didn't coerce Ji Hyeok into being with her, her feelings be damned. And it also seems like inspite of his hazy memories of her, he had been in denial that he may have been as intensely in love with her as everything seemed to suggest because acknowledging the same went against the very fibre of pre-Jeju Ji Hyeok. As an amnesiac, it was difficult for him to make sense of the person he was during the period of his life that he had forgotten.
P. S.: The amnesia arc in this drama was one of those few instances when I didn't mind it at all. However, I admit that episode 14 could have been written even better.
The last episode absolutely baffled me. She made zero effort in that 1 year time skip where he had amnesia?

I don't think I have ever seen a kdrama before where the FL makes zero effort and does zero chasing. Very strange…

Yeah, that would be her happy ending, LOL!
LMAO. Dang for you to skip the romance... Enough said. π
