I think I read somewhere that LW was supposed to be ML but readers thought he was too simple and boring and postulated for XS plot to be pushed as main one. Not sure if this is true but LW is typical wuxia lead character where rest are more supporter types then XS takes over with his healing journey and then palace part. But yes, Wuxin deserves his own novel, lol!

I think he may wanted it to some level before this whole case with his uncle but after first he was banished and disillusioned about corupt word of capitol and second he saw what freedom looks like. He was smarter that his uncle by leaving capitol at once. XC is very much like his father, too insecure and aware of his brather superiority for the situation to not escalate in the future.

I had a feeling that author gave him too much power from begining so he had to freeze him somehow for others to have something to do. In the last part he is more the plot tool for others to grow their power

spoiler below by apocalib for Wuxin :). and small correction, yes, red prince killed himself but he was really executed by XS, he gave him choice: he will kill him himself or... and XY didn't want to give him such satisfaction so he stabbed himself TL is hurt when all the guardians and XS supporters cleaned his path to capitol. He had less luck then others. I guess author needed cool scene later on the banquet that is XS way to declare his stand in "game of thrones" plus motivation for whole team. BTW I did not have feeling that he loved his older brother, he just think of him as good enough? And after living outside capitol he doesn't want to be in emperor position anymore, he prefer freedom and less corupt eniviroment, I guess. In terms of moral stending I like that author is not going into noble sacrifice area too much, even inside story people are called out on it if they try to do it.
it's matter of energy type, which is interesting concept if act of castration can change it. It was strange to me, are you born with ying/yang energy and then retrain it if you loose your sex potential? or matter of predisposition from begining. I don't think they explained it in novel.
Can someone pls tell me the novel end for Xiaose, Wuxin, Lei Wujie, Tang Lian, and Prince Chi? Give me a spoiler,…
XiaoSe killed Prince Chi and when everybody thought he will take the trone he kind of gave up (emperor left 2 different versions of his will so it was really his choice), In extra he still manipulates politics if his friends are involved. They (whole main group) are wondering martial world waiting for Wuxin to come back from his trip to secure his mother future life. Happy ending for almost everybody.
Old Leader Tang wanted Tang to be the only clan in the world. He had help from Dark River, so he came to murder…
there was long feud between those two families but I don't think it was explained in novel in details. I only remember comments that Old Master went too far because he couldn't let it go. Maybe in prequels? I would be interested if somebody knows the answer
9 sons and at least one daughter. The oldest is dead from begining so 2nd prince is the oldest now but any can…
He is not pretending, he is blind but as he is blind by poisoning they are searching for cure so he still has hope and fights for throne. And he is acknowledged as the most probable candidate together with Red Prince after XS was dismissed. I kind of started to forget which version my info is coming from but in one source the emperor said that issue with XS was that he is more his brother (the dead one) man that his son so maybe not that suitable to be his succesor even if before the ban he was the best choice by his talents. And the Red Prince is very poor choice for differnet reasons.
if you ask for name : that person in previous generation was XS's master, the one who saved him when his powers were damaged, and now it will be his daughter, they are informant oragnisation heads
But yes, Wuxin deserves his own novel, lol!
