That is what left wing and right wing fights over in South Korea. Left wing says there was no involvement while right wing says there were NK spies at that time.

This comment is only for the fourth paragraph.
So are you saying that Left Wing aligned people in South Korea who believe by heart that there were no North Korean spies at all in South Korea during Chun Do Hwan administration are wrong?
Honest question.I seem to see some posters wanting to skirt the issue of the controversy, rather than discuss…
ANSP is bad. Chun Doo Hwan administration period was evil.
First thing people need to understand is that 'Snowdrop' is set just a few weeks before the elections. That is almost all the pro-democratic movement and protests are over. This drama is not at all about the movement. This drama deals with a fictional political situation surrounding the 1987 presidential elections and is showing how the military regime, the ANSP, and others in power at the time colluding with the North Korean dictatorship and planning a conspiracy to retain their power.
Other thing is that ML is a spy but he was directly called by the authoritarian government with the direct involvement of the current as well as the former director of ANSP. So if people want to twist in their own way that FL helping him considering a protester invokes claims made by the Chun Do Hwan's administration when neither FL is a pro-democratic protester nor ML participates in any protest, then I can also twist that 'Snowdrop' is showing how the authoritarian government and ANSP themselves brought NK spies to frame innocent protesters as spies. But 'Snowdrop' is not telling either of the thing. People are just twisting as they wish.
I wrote down the names of users who've been spreading false rumours in this comment section and sent it to jtbc…
"See you all in jail" is a bit of stretch.
JTBC has only said, "We will be responding strongly to any unfounded slander or fabricated information that is unrelated to this drama, so please be advised."
I am not talking about twitter. But few articles has been released on Naver by S Korean news outlets. The fact, a post by any anonymous user on a social media can also make a news just shows how much thirsty they are for clicks. But atleast they are mentioning that this was uploaded by *a* person on *this* social media platform.
This is a FAKE news that JTBC has themselves released a statement saying that they will take strong measures against baseless slander and fabricated facts.
The news circulating clearly states that a user uploaded a picture on Clién (클리앙) of an e-mail claiming to be sent by JTBC.

'Snowdrop' is neither inspired nor based on any true historical event. Even the controversy is not over the depiction of any historical event. It is over the depiction of a particular organization known as ANSP.
Anyone should have a correct information about the controversy and should watch the drama before blabbering anything imao.

1. They are busy.
2. They are lazy.
3. They either don't know the history or they haven't watched the drama.

So should I say that 'Snowdrop' is conveying how government itself brought those spies to frame the innocents.
** People should stop twisting what is shown in something to fit their own narrative.
Right: "Bunch on K-netz"

Edit: JTBC told to a news outlet, "We have sent e-mails not only to Clién, but also to other online communities." (https://n.news.naver.com/entertain/article/311/0001391574)
'Gwangju Uprising' or 'May Movement' was held in 1980. It has no relation with that.
Anyone should have a correct information about the controversy and should watch the drama before blabbering anything imao.
