The disclaimer in the beginning of each episode is to tell you that to not considering anything shown in this drama as a reality.

And also, Snowdrop is based in 1987 only. Not (1980–87).

The major part of controversy was that drama is trying to show that ANSP were good and not bad. So this part will cancel the biggest accusation on JTBC of the glorifiction of the ANSP.

At that time ANSP used to frame pro-democratic protesters as North Koream spies to torture them and to suppress protests.

The drama has been accused of glorifying ANSP by introducing an actual North Korean character. But if it turns out be that the ANSP was behind bringing all the spies so that it could frame actual South Korean protesters as spies then this is not distorting any history. Because this shows the real intention of ANSP who falsely accused the true South Korean citizens as North Korean spies.

Those who have watched both the episodes and correctly knows about the controversy would understand what I am saying.

So according to JTBC's todays statement, by the 5th episode we will get to know that NSA is the only one who is bringing spies in South Korea.

Then this is THE END of the actually controversy.
