This was so exciting at the beginning but a bit disappointing by the end because the whole uncle drama.. the drama definitely could have work without that subplot. , it actually feels out of place. Anyways, I ended up loving the 2nd leads. It's nice when the "rival" character (Jin Gyeong) ends up with someone too
I have my own (and many) problems with this drama, but I think the FL is better written than the ML. From what…
Don't worry, I'm not upset xD just want to share my observation about the FL and ML. I have no attachment to any of the cast nor the drama, I actually think the overall execution is pretty weak so I can understand why you view it that way. I still need to watch Flower of Evil tho
Very Unpopular opinion:I stopped watching this series at episode 27 and I donβt even know how I made it that…
I have my own (and many) problems with this drama, but I think the FL is better written than the ML. From what I see, the only reason the FL lying was so she can stay with the ML whom she loved, she even feel bad for lying to him that she wanted to tell the truth several times but unsuccessful (because ML always stopped her). She even gets punishment from lying: being used by ML, the person she loved and starting life from beginning - she even said at one point that it was her punishment, so I don't think the show is trying to romanticize her manipulation. She showed character development because she was honest after that, opened up to tell the truth to the in-laws, quitting the livestream job when asked to use her in-laws status. I've only watched until episode 21 tho, so idk if there's character regression from there.
I find the ML's motives and actions to be more unconvincing. If his motive is to advance his career, wouldn't getting married with someone from an actual influental family would be more beneficial and easier to get his mom's acceptance? He said he chose her because she's smart and patience to accept his son, and he didn't believe she loved him and was only in it for his fortune & influence, so I don't get why he doesn't just come clean from the beginning - they could be scheming together without all the (must be tiring) pretending.
The BGM in this drama feels so off sometimes, like it doesn't fit the situation or make the scenes change mood from serious to comedic or vice versa so suddenly. I actually don't have a problem with change of tone of overall drama from dark to lighter mood, I'm more bothered with all these jarring transitions between or even within a scene. It's pretty distracting and makes it hard to get immersed.
Another enjoyable week! I'm pleasantly surprised with the pacing. Already a kiss on episode 3 and Woojoo realizing the identity of his first love - I was expecting them to drag this on and make both them oblivious for longer, but now at least 1 of them know that they had that connection already. Also glad that the in-laws drama was handled more comically, I'm tired if Kdrama villains being just unbearably evil. Seems like the only real evil one is the uncle...for now.
I also look forward to the 2nd couple with the neighbor & doctor~
First 2 episodes are so fun! Just classic kdrama romcom - haven't actually gotten into one of these lately, so I'm glad I give this a chance. Hope it continues to be entertaining. Just want to see more chemistry from the leads - I am hopeful tho from seeing the preview.
I haven't been invested in Kdramas lately, but this one held my attention from beginning to end. I like all the storylines, especially the family-oriented ones- I'm weak for those type of stories. The corporate drama was quite interesting too, though I had to pause a lot because the villains are so infuriating- had to take breaks and calm down lol. Echoing everyone who liked the 2nd leads romance- I wish we see more of their moments especially at the end.
Watching this kinda makes me pissed off because every episode Kurata gets super mad at Tsubasa π (Watching this…
I felt the same, it was pretty unbearable for a while π₯² Tsubasa will be able to make the mood lighter later, so I was able to enjoy the show more (I really like it now), but Kurata still annoyed me for a little longer. I still complained about him on ep 6 π
