I am not familiar with Thai dramas so I didn’t know what to expect but I actually like this! The storyline, casting, and the plot twist are good. Though the buildup in the first half was rather slow. This can be quite a controversial topic for some, just watch with open mind. Monk Dol is by far my favourite character, he is so calm yet so much of expression.
I landed here because of Hani. But I stayed and finished because of the message the drama brings. The earlier episodes were great as they are centered around women empowerment, knowing and loving yourself, how talking about sex openly and women too have sexual desires are often perceived as a taboo, and all of these are especially relatable to me growing up in typical Asian household.
However somehow towards the end, being a kdrama, there seems to be that obsession of having a happy ending so the plot got side-tracked with the romantic progression of the lead casts instead. This is where the drama went from trying to “hit the spot” down to “almost hit the spot”. But I did not regret watching it, thankfully just 8 episodes, and it does empower & reminds me of what I value in my relationship.
This is the first time I am not rooting for any male leads. At the ending, I’d rather see Terada gtfo of the house & seek for a happy life and meet someone else who can truly appreciates her.
If not for the ending, I would have rated higher. ZY was super badass in the first half, but the writers just had to weaken her character later on. So much of filler episodes in the second half. It was still a good watch over all. Despite the flaws, I’m still glad I picked up this one.
Frankly most of his dramas were just mediocre but you can see he really put in a lot of effort into his acting & every role he had. Very hardworking & charismatic :)
They should really air it (cut the eps/web dramas/whatever) & not keep on the shelf anymore. I don’t want to end up watching this thinking why it’s so cheap/old made compared to the other airing dramas like what is happening with Investiture of the Gods right now.
The opening song is so refreshing! It’s a period drama but with modern vibes, I love it. With so many period dramas popping out lately, this one does stand out from the rest.
I don’t exactly remember how I managed to survive through season 1. Good job. *pats on own shoulder* Now I don't remember what I have watched. It was that forgettable...this drama.
The way Wako approached Yumaeki the first time disgusted me. Poor boy, he’s ruined for life. I’m not against huge age gap relationship but the fact they got together is not for love, it’s lust. Too bad we didn’t get to see how their relationship advances but definitely not a healthy one.
