Yea I thought I would want to the separation to end soon but they manage to keep it interesting and it's so nice to see everyone care for her. plus we get to see Chang Yu grow outside of the simple life she had in Xigu Alley.

I like her Northwest pig slaughter squad. Those guys have come a long way. I hope they survive.

This show is getting more violent and I just fear for the lives of my favorite characters.

Loved seeing FCY reunite with Jin Yuan Bao and the rest of her rascals and them having a moment together about what happened in Lin'an.

So many thoughts about the latest episodes. I can't believe they did that to everybody.

I really like that she's strong and knows martial arts but she's not a violent, emotionless person. I'm glad they showed her kill someone for the first time and how it affected her. I'm eager to see her development when she goes to battle.

I didn't think a falcon would become my favorite character. Please don't die.

The romance is pretty good, and it's really easy to watch. The parts about their work or careers were rather dull, and so this is where the writing was the weakest. The story didn't do anything to make me worry about them failing or want to root for their success. Also, there were some cringey, unrealistic scenes. Overall, I still enjoyed it and would rewatch the parts I liked.

Just so you know, critiquing doesn't mean we're being mean or that we don't like him or that we hate him. Critiquing is good for everybody. Sharing opinions and commentary makes it fun, and I enjoy the drama even if he's not great. No big deal. I don't actually think my opinion on mydramalist is going to hurt his career in any way. It's nice of you to stick up for him, so just enjoy the drama, and you don't let us random people on the internet ruin it for you.

you think so? I don't think I was trying to give a backhanded compliment. I was clearly critiquing him.. I feel like actors and actresses work off of each others energy, can learn from each other, react to each other in the moment. etc. so yea I do think if he's not a really strong actor but is paired up with good actress who he can have good chemistry with then he may be able to get into his character better. I don't think he's a strong actor but i'll still watch his dramas. no big deal. I've seen him in other dramas where the actress also wasn't really good and the weak parts of his acting were just more noticeable.

Rong and Siliang definitely are the most toxic ones but I think the other three are not bad.

He's not the best but I feel like as long as he's paired up with a good actress then his acting is passable.

Only watched the first episode, and so far it seems interesting. But I felt like they missed out on showing more of him doing the medical stuff.. like we get his thought process, but when he was saving the lady with Wen Jue assisting him, it could have been an opportunity to showcase chemistry between them or build up suspense around his medical skills. Hopefully, they'll show us more in the next episodes?

ok I put this on hold because I'm busy, but now I'm seeing some spoilers that make me wonder if I should even get back into it. Let me know if it's worth it.

I told myself not to watch all the episodes until more episodes air, but I did it anyway, and now I can't wait for the rest.

Shuang Jiang and Hu Zhu's ending had a greater emotional impact on me than the others. I was a little disappointed with Mei Si and Serpend Lord's ending. It was just so underwhelming. I wished we had a longer scene with the main couple. It was a cute ending, but it could have been better.

The best part about this drama is that the FL's character is consistent and strong throughout the drama. She had most of the fight scenes, which is what you expect for a drama titled Legend of the Female General. The bad is that sometimes it feels like you're watching a short-length drama. The pacing was fast, and then sometimes it felt like the plot wasn't progressing at all. It's still entertaining, and I liked it enough to finish, but it's not amazing.
