If you have access to Drama Otaku, they usually open registration at the beginning of the month, which should be very soon. Just follow the registration instructions carefully and then you wait to be approved. This is a jdrama so there's really no rush to watch it as sub and episodes release slowly anyway. https://drama-otaku.com/registration-is-closed/
There were a few episodes where I was worried the FL wouldn't get stronger, but really glad to see her take control in the recent episodes. Hopefully, ML is smart but still needs to step up even more.
If you're coming here because you're thinking about watching this, don't. Just wait until it's done to binge it. Watching 15-minute episodes once a day is torture.
I haven’t had this much enjoyment from an ordinary cdrama in a long time. Some of the S plus dramas don’t…
I've been having similar feelings about cdramas. I find a lot of them rely on dialogue to tell the story and for someone like me who relies on subtitles.. it's really exhausting. I wish they show more than tell.
This drama is very average. I felt like they lacked passion, especially in the last ten episodes. Angelababy and Song Wei Long are both very good looking people but are not great actors and don't pair well. The ending was meh. It's not terrible so don't go in with high expectations. It helps that its only 30 episodes.
Genuine question : why are people finding Lin An as an annoying? Honestly, I didn’t, and I think her actions…
She was never annoying. Her actions are hilarious and so far she hasn't done anything stupid to frustrate whatever the plot is in this drama or what the ML is doing. He benefits from her actions. People tend to want FL to be badass or smart; FL shouldn't have to be amazing for people to like her.
I don't mind the mistaken identity plot and look forward to the reveal. ML is out here messing around and not being honest most of the time, so it's nice that he gets deceived by the FL.
Right! They both pretend, just to gain the benefit from each other. And the show mirrors that they're very alike.…
yea.. he's in a world that for some reason is designed for him to succeed. He's advanced a lot in a short amount of time and it's not purely from his talent or hard work. She may be from a privileged background, but she's not really thriving in her environment. She feels she needs to be someone else for others to respect and appreciate her.
I like Princess Lin An's character because it’s different from other C-drama female leads. In most historical…
Agree. Even strong and smart female characters can be one-dimensional. Right now, that's Huaiqing. She's perfect and emotionless. It would be nice to see a side of her where she's more vulnerable. So far she doesn't have enough scenes to make me care about her.
Honestly, this wasn't my favorite and it was really hard finishing the last 10 episodes. I think all the characters were no longer interesting anymore and it was predictable. The new focus on ML's brother came too late for me to care about his character development. Doesn't mean it's bad or unwatchable. Better than average but far from great. It could be one of the top cdramas of 2024 but I also think many 2024 cdramas were not really good either.
How does this drama end? I've just finished the first season, and I did not like the unresolved ending. Nor the…
Did you ever watch season 2? They explain some things.. but the ending can be bittersweet. I thought it was an appropriate ending and sometimes I rewatch it because I loved the characters so much. It's also on Netflix now at least in the U.S.
Ep 12 when she was going to perform at the Sitan Mansion, I was worried that the audience would be too pretentious to like her or that she would have another awkward silence but I did not expect the ending with her ex bf and chairman there. 💀
